The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) is a multidisciplinary institute for patient care and academic pursuit in the field of mental health and neurosciences.  NIMHANS is synonymous with providing high standards of clinical care, quality training and cutting-edge research in the frontier areas. NIMHANS is the apex centre for mental health and neuroscience education in the country. It is an Institute of National Importance operates autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences, Bangalore, an Institute registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 on the 27th of December, 1974.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates, for the post of post of “Junior Research Fellow” (JRF) on contract basis for the SERB funded project entitled “Role of alpha-synuclein phosphorylation in dopaminergic neuron dysfunction” – under the guidance of Dr. Indrani Datta, Associate Professor of Biophysics & Principal Investigator.
