Pharma Fellowship in Alzheimers Disease Research, IIT-BHU

Applicationsare invited for the post of JRF at a Fixed Stipend/ Fellowship/ Salary amount of Rs. 37000 p.m. + 20% HRA in an ANRF-Sponsored Project entitled “Development of Novel Near Infrared Fluorescent Theranostic Probes Targeting Amyloid β Aggregates and Cholinesterases for the Effective Treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease” sanctioned up to 3 years. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The candidates should possess the following essential qualifications.

Essential qualifications : First class in M.Pharm/ M.S.(Pharm.)/ M.Tech(Pharm)/ M.Tech in Medicinal Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Process Chemistry or Natural Product Chemistry/Pharmacology/Biotechnology with GATE/ GPAT/ CSIR-NET or equivalent examination. The candidates should have a basic degree in pharmacy (B. Pharm).
The candidates appearing in the final semester of M.Pharm/ M.S.(Pharm.)/ M.Tech(Pharm)/ M.Tech in Medicinal Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Process Chemistry or Natural Product Chemistry / Pharmacology / Biotechnology is also eligible. Such candidates need to produce the essential documents to justify their qualification in case of selection.

Desirable qualifications : Candidates with expertise in multi-step synthetic organic chemistry and cell biology-related experiments will be preferred. In addition, the animal handling experience will be considered.
The upper Age Limit is 28 Years (relaxable as Per GoI Rules); All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.

Fellowship/salary : 37000 + 20% HRA
