The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation(CDSCO) under Directorate General of Health Services,Ministry of Health & Family Welfare,Government of India is the National Regulatory Authority (NRA) of India. Its headquarter is located at FDA Bhawan, Kotla Road, New Delhi 110002 and also has six zonal offices,four sub zonal offices,thirteen Port offices and seven laboratories spread across the country. The Drugs & Cosmetics Act,1940 and rules 1945 have entrusted various responsibilities to central & state regulators for regulation of drugs & cosmetics.It envisages uniform implementation of the provisions of the Act & Rules made there under for ensuring the safety, rights and well being of the patients by regulating the drugs and cosmetics. CDSCO is constantly thriving upon to bring out transparency, accountability and uniformity in its services in order to ensure safety, efficacy and quality of the medical product manufactured, imported and distributed in the country.

Post : Junior Scientific Assistant

Applications are invited from eligible candidates of Central/State Government for appointment to one Non-Gazetted Post of Junior Scientific Assistant, Group ‘B\ Pay Level - 6 of the Pay Matrix Rs.35400-112400/- in Central Drugs Testing Laboratory, Chennai, Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation, Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare on deputation basis.

Method of Recruitment : 100% by Direct Recruitment
Note : vacancies caused by the incumbent being away on deputation, or long illness or study leave or under other circumstances for a duration of one year or more may be filled on deputation from Officers of Central Government or State Government.
(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis; or
(ii) with five years regular service in posts in the Pre-Revised Scale of Rs.4500-125-7000/- subsequently replaced with Rs.5000-150-8000/-;
PB-2 Rs.9300-34800/- plus Grade Pay Rs.4200/- as per 06th CPC. Pay Level - 6 of the Pay Matrix (Rs.35400/~112400/-) as per 07th CPC; and
(b) Possessing the qualification and experience prescribed fordirect recruitments under Recruitment Rules.

Eligibility Criteria : A Degree in Chemistry or Pharmacy or Microbiology or Biochemistry or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or equivalent recognized by a University
Note : The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

1. Application in prescribed format-Annexure It duly filled in and signed by the candidate and countersigned with seal by the Cadre/Appointing Authority.
2. Attested copies of APAR/ACRs for the last 5 (five) years duly attested on each page by a Gazetted Officer of Central/State Government.
3. Integrity Certificate.
4. Vigilance Clearance Certificate.
5. Statement of major or minor penalties, if any, imposed on the officer during the last 10 years of service.
6. A certificate to the effect that the particulars furnished by the candidate have been verified and found correct as per service records.
