The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), established in 1983, is an international, intergovernmental organisation conceived as a Centre of excellence for research, training and technology transfer to industry in the field of biotechnology to promote sustainable global development. The Centre conducts innovative research in life sciences and strengthens the research capability of its over 60 Member States through training, funding programs and advisory services. Located in Trieste (Italy), New Delhi (India) and Cape Town (South Africa), and in collaboration with over 40 Affiliated Centres worldwide, the three ICGEB Components provide a scientific and educational environment of the highest international standards.
Post : Research Associate I, Project Research Scientist I, and Senior Research Fellow
Research Associate I, Project Research Scientist I, and Senior Research Fellow positions are available in the Structural parasitology group, ICGEB, New Delhi component for multiple externally funded projects
Investigator : Amit Sharma
Fellowship and Duration : Fellowship as per the norms of funding agencies. Initially, the positions are available for three months and can be further extended based on the performance of the candidates.
Educational Qualifications and Job Descriptions
1. Research Associate I (No. of positions-1) : PhD in Biological or Chemical Sciences / Life Sciences with laboratory experience, 0-1 year postdoctoral experience in relevant field with good publication record with at least one research paper in SCI journal.
2. Project Research Scientist I (No. of positions-2) : A Masters in Biological or Chemical sciences with laboratory experience and good publications.
3. Senior Research Fellow (No. of positions-1) : A Masters in any field of science or engineering with experience in bioinformatics. Experience in AI / ML is desirable.
