  • Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships

    The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships program is one of a suite of elite federal research capacity development programs. The suite begins with early graduate student support through Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships, progresses to postdoctoral training through the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships program and continues through the academic career progression (Tier 1 and 2 Canada Research Chairs) to a career pinnacle with the Canada Excellence Research Chairs, and announced in 2014, the Canada First Research Excellence Fund.

  • International Travel Support Scheme for Reserach Professonal by SERB

    International Travel Support (ITS) Scheme provides financial assistance to Indian researchers for presenting a research paper in an international scientific event (conference, seminar, workshop etc.) held abroad. In addition, support is also provided to young scientists (age limit below 35 years as on date of start of the event) for attending training programmes, Short-term schools and Workshops. Economy class air-fare by shortest route from AirIndia, airport-tax and visa fees are provided under the scheme.

    The JN Tata Endowment for the Higher Education of Indians has been helping Indian students since 1892 with loan scholarships for higher studies. People consider it a matter of great pride to be called a 'JN Tata Scholar'. There are now more than 5,004 JN Tata Scholars all over the world.

    The Indian Institute of Science was founded in 1909 as a result of the joint efforts of Jamsetji Nussarwanji Tata, the Government of India and the Maharaja of Mysore.  Tata conceived of a university of science in 1896 that would work for the benefit of India, and in 1898, created an endowment for establishing such an institution.  The Government of India decided to locate the Institute in Bengaluru, where the Maharaja of Mysore, Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV, donated over 370 acres of land for this initiative.

    To encourage postgraduate research Victoria offers scholarships to those about to begin their doctoral studies. These scholarships are awarded on academic merit and are open to New Zealand and international students in any discipline.   • Doctoral Scholarships at AUT University

    Applicants for the April round must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents or AUT alumni. The October round is open to all eligible applicants i.e. applicants may be New Zealand citizens/ permanent residents or International students.  To attract highly achieving doctoral research students to AUT University and to encourage and stimulate doctoral studies in areas of the University’s research capability.

    The scholarship is tenable for up to three years. If a recipient has been enrolled in the doctoral programme at AUT for more than six months at the time of application the scholarship tenure will be reduced accordingly.

The study will commence in September/October 2017.Candidates are required to apply online at Ministry of Human Resource Development portal by 16.09.2016 (till 3:00 PM) and as well as at Commonwealth Scholarship Commission’s Electronic Application System (EAS) by 15.11.2016.
