National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Guwahati (NIPER-G) is an autonomous institute of National importance and the first national pharma institute in NE India set up by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India by an act of parliament, to impart high quality Education & Research in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Savitribai Phule Pune University, one of the premier universities in India, is positioned in the North-western part of Pune city. It occupies an area of about 411 acres. It was established on 10th February, 1949 under the Poona University Act. The university houses 46 academic departments. It is popularly known as the 'Oxford of the East'. It has about 307 recognized research institutes and 612 affiliated colleges offering graduate and under-graduate courses.  The university attracts many foreign students due to its excellent facilities.

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hyderabad is an "Institute of National Importance" with proclaimed objectives of becoming Centre of Excellence for advanced research in pharmaceutical sciences. NIPER-Mohali was the first institute established in the year 1998 under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the Govt. of India.

The Regional Research Institute for Siddha in Puducherry was established on 22nd August, 1979. The Government of Puducherry came forward to provide basic infrastructure for setting up of this institute. Initially, the institute was located in a block of Government General Hospital. This institute started functioning in its own premises at Kuyavarpalaiyam since 2003 with a well-maintained campus and picturesque herbal garden with more than 150 medicinal plants.

Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, is a Super-Speciality teaching and training Medical Institution, situated to the Southeast of Lucknow city on Lucknow-Raebareli Road, and is nearly 12 Km from the main (Charbagh) railway station, Lucknow Airport and city center (Hazratganj). From the railway station, private buses (route 3) run to the Institute at short intervals. Alternatively, pre-paid auto-rickshaws taxis are also available for travel to the Institute.

Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani) is a Deemed to be University established vide Sec.3 of the UGC Act,1956. It has established itself as a symbol of Excellence and has been declared as an Institution of Eminence (IoE) by the Ministry of Education, Government of India in 2020. It offers Undergraduate, Graduate, and PhD programmes to over 17,000 students across its campuses in Pilani, Dubai, Goa, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. QS World University Subject Rankings 2022 has ranked BITS Pilani globally at 101-150 in Pharmacy and Pharmacology.

The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage.
