Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani is a Deemed to be University established vide Sec.3 of the UGC Act,1956. It has established itself as a symbol of Excellence and has been declared as an Institution of Eminence (IoE) by the Ministry of Education, Government of India in 2020. It offers Undergraduate, Graduate, and PhD programmes to over 17,000 students across its campuses in Pilani, Dubai, Goa, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. QS World University Subject Rankings 2022 has ranked BITS Pilani globally at 101-150 in Pharmacy and Pharmacology.

The National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS), an autonomous organisation aided by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, was established to facilitate cell biology research in the country. NCCS is located within the academically-enriched campus of the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). Since its inception, NCCS has been performing cutting-edge research in cell biology, providing valuable services as a national animal cell repository, and supporting human resource development through various teaching and training programmes.

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata (IISER Kolkata) was established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. IISER Kolkata is designed to reach the prestigious position in the global setting that IISc, IIMs and IITs presently enjoy. IISER Kolkata is an autonomous institution awarding its own degrees. The central theme of the IISER Kolkata is to integrate education with research so that undergraduate teaching as well as doctoral and postdoctoral research work could be carried out in symbiosis.

CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow, a premier Institute under Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), is involved in multidisciplinary R&D programs of both basic and applied nature. CSIR-CDRI is a pioneer biomedical research organization in India and has the infrastructure and expertise to develop a drug from concept to commercialization. In the year 2012, CSIR-CDRI shifted to its state of the art new campus, which has been set up with a vision to serve as a Nodal Center of CSIR in new drug discovery and development.

This Institute was established in the year from 1963 in IMPCOPS, Chennai with a motive to study the phyto-chemical aspects of medicinal plants in an around the city. Later Central Council for Research in Indian Medicine and Homeopathy had taken over this Institute as grant in aid. In the year of 1979, this institute became a part of Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (formerly Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic and Siddha). This institute had diversified its activities to drug standardization besides phyto-chemical studies.

Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Cancer Centre, Varanasi, has been jointly set-up by the Tata Trusts, the Tata Memorial Centre and Banaras Hindu University. Spread over an area of 5.86 lakh sq. feet, with equipment sourced from global leaders in cancer care, the hospital provides comprehensive yet affordable cancer care to patients in Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttarakhand and, even, neighbouring countries like Nepal.
