Regulators became first aware of this impurity in mid – 2018, when NDMA was found in blood pressure medicine known as sartans. Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) is an Autonomous Institution of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. IPC is created to set standards of drugs in the country. Researchers from Rutgers Health believe they are among the leaders in a race to find an oral COVID-19 treatment to supplement or replace Paxlovid – an antiviral medication that helps keep high-risk patients out of the hospital.
