IIT Ropar community has undertaken an important exercise of developing the Mission, Vision and Strategic Plan for the coming years. The exercise was carried out in active consultation with Indian Institute of Management Calcutta who have got technical expertise in this area. A participative bottom up approach was followed in formulating the Mission, Vision and Strategic Plan. Inputs from the entire IIT Ropar fraternity, MHRD, Board of Governors, Alumni and Industries were considered in the process. Finally we have arrived at the following Motto, Mission and Vision statements for our institute.
Post : Junior Research Fellow (JRF, 1 No).
Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a DBT-funded research project with following details :
Title of the project : Development of carbonaceous filler-reinforced biopolymer nanocomposite for semi-biologic hernial mesh fabrication
Principal Investigator (PI) : Dr. Bodhisatwa Das Email : [bodhisatwa.das@iitrpr.ac.in]
Essential qualifications : BTech / MTech in Biotechnology / Biomedical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Polymer Engineering / Materials Engineering or relevant discipline; M.Pharm / MS in Pharmacy, or MSc in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Zoology / Microbiology / Chemistry with at least 60% or 7.5 CGPA [5%or 0.5CGPA relaxation will be provided to SC/ST/PH candidates]with valid GATE / NET (for B Tech/MSc) qualifications.
Experience : Experience in 3D bioprinting and CAD modeling is preferred. A candidate with at least 2 years of post-qualification research experience is preferred.
Salary : As per the DBT norms.
Duration : Initially six months and extendable up to 18 months depending upon performance and availability of funding.
