The District Health Society, Leh, invites applications from eligible candidates for various contractual positions under the National Health Mission (NHM), Leh. Applications must be submitted to the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Leh (near Karzu Zing) by 5th May 2025, before 4:30 PM.

Essential Qualification:- Compounders / Pharmacists having Diploma in Homeopathic/ Ayurveda/ Unani from recognized Institutions
Desirable : 2 years or more work post-qualification experience in a relevant field from government or government-recognized institutions.
Remuneration per month : Rs 14400/- per month
Eligibility Criteria
1. Applicants must possess a Resident Certificate issued by the competent authority under the UT of Ladakh Grant of Resident Certificate (Procedure) Order, 2021.
2. Age Limit : 18-45 years as of the advertisement date. No age relaxation applies.
3. The Date of Birth mentioned in the Matriculation Certificate/Marksheet shall be considered.
4. Educational Qualification : Candidates must meet the essential qualifications for
the applied post as of the application date. Final-year students are ineligible.
5. ODL Qualifications : Open and Distance Learning (ODL) degrees must comply with UGC/MHRD regulations. Engineering, medical, dental, and pharmacy qualifications obtained via ODL are not valid.
Terms and Conditions
1. The posts are open only to residents of Leh District. Applicants must possess a Resident Certificate issued by the Competent Authority as per the Union Territory of Ladakh Grant of Resident Certificate (Procedure) Order, 2021.
2. All positions under the National Health Mission (NHM) are contractual, offering consolidated remuneration for a period of one year. These contracts may be renewed or terminated based on performance and the continuation of the scheme.
3. Selected candidates must enter into a contractual agreement with the appointing authority, as per NHM guidelines. The minimum contract duration shall be one year or until 31st March of the current financial year, whichever occurs earlier.
4. The remuneration for the first month will be retained as a security deposit and will be paid after the successful completion of the contractual period.
5. Candidates appointed to the aforementioned positions shall not be entitled to any claims for regularization of their services at any stage.
6. All positions under NHM are transferable according to the transfer policy.
7. The selected candidates can be posted anywhere in Leh District based on the vacancy and the requirements of the post. The candidates cannot claim for posting at a particular place/health centre/block in this regard.
8. If any document (certificate/testimonial) submitted by a candidate is found to be forged or issued by an unauthorized authority at any stage of recruitment, their candidature/appointment will be summarily cancelled. In such cases, all remunerations paid shall be recovered, and legal action may be taken.
9. If a candidate is found to be ineligible or not meeting the selection criteria at the time of document verification or any point in the recruitment process, their candidature will be cancelled or rejected for the respective post.
10. Applicants must carefully read all the instructions mentioned in the advertisement notice before appearing for the exam.
11. A self-attested copy of all required documents must be submitted with the application form, and original documents must be presented during the document verification process for the selected candidate.
12. The District Health Society, Leh reserves the right of any amendments, cancellations and changes to this advertisement as a whole without assigning any reason or giving notice.
13. Tentative answer keys will be uploaded on the nhmladakh.in website after the examination. Candidates may submit any representations regarding the answer keys within the time limit specified by the Chairman of the District Health Society. No representations will be considered after this period.

o Technical Posts : Total 100 marks : General Intelligence (25 Q), General Awareness (25 Q), Field-Specific (50 Q). o Non-Technical Posts : Total 100 marks: General Intelligence (25 Q), General Awareness (25 Q), Quantitative Aptitude (25 Q), English Language (25 Q). o Duration : 2 hours.
o Negative Marking : 0.25 marks deducted per wrong answer, o Minimum Qualifying Marks: 25.

Syllabus for the written examination
1. Indicative Syllabus for the Non-Technical post Graduate Level
• Part A: General Intelligence - Tests verbal and non-verbal reasoning skills, including analogies, classifications, series, coding-decoding, problem-solving, logical reasoning
(syllogisms, Venn diagrams), spatial visualization, decision-making, and emotional/social intelligence.
• Part B: General Awareness - Evaluates knowledge of current affairs, everyday science, environmental awareness, and key aspects of India and neighbouring countries (history, geography, economy, culture, and policies).
• Part C: Quantitative Aptitude - Covers numerical ability, arithmetic (percentages, ratios, profit-loss, time-speed-distance), algebra, geometry, trigonometry, mensuration, and data interpretation (graphs, charts).
• Part D: English Language - Assesses comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and basic writing skills.
Technical Post
• 50 Questions from the candidate’s specialized field (domain-specific).
• 25 Questions on General Intelligence (same as Part A in Non-Technical).
• 25 Questions on General Awareness (same as Part B in Non-Technical).
Admit card, Date of examination, Examination Centre and Syllabus
1. The date of examination and examination centre will be communicated on leh.nic.in and nhm.ladakh website later on.
2. The admit card will not be sent by post.
3. Candidates must collect their admit card from the Chief Medical Office. It is mandatory to carry the admit card along with a valid original photo ID to appear for the examination. No candidate will be allowed to take the exam without both the admit card and a valid original photo ID.
Emoluments
• Remuneration as per NHM Recruitment Rules.
• 5% annual increment (on renewal, subject to performance).
• Hard posting allowances as per NHM policy.
Penalties for Malpractices
Candidates indulging in any misconduct or malpractice during the examination shall face debarment, disqualification or cancellation of candidature.
