AIIMS Raipur is one of the SIX AIIMS healthcare institutes being established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). With the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country, and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education and training the PMSSY planned to set up 6 new AIIMS like institutions in under served areas of the country.
AIIMS, Raipur invites applications in prescribed format from Indian nationals for following post on contractual basis for an extramural project sanctioned by ICMR, New Delhi, Government of India “A study to understand the mechanism of metabolic derangement causing acute liver failure (ALF) in patients of acute yellow phosphorus poisoning” for 11 months from date of appointment (extendable for another oneyear). Essential qualifications, experience, consolidated fellowship are as follows
Project Research Scientist-Non-Medical (NM)
Resource Requirement : 01 (One)
Nature of Post : Contractual
Age Limit : 35 years (Relaxation as per ICMR, New Delhi, Government of India rules)
Place of Posting : Department of Biochemistry, AIIMS, Raipur
Project Duration : 11 months (Extendable for another oneyear).
Educational Qualification : Essential:
1. First Class Post Graduate Degree in Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Microbiology/Genetics/Life sciences, including the integrated PG degrees
OR
Second Class Post Graduate Degree Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ Microbiology/Genetics/Life sciences, including the integrated PG degrees with PhD
Desirable :
1. Candidates should have at least two years of research experience in the field of R&D laboratories/Medical Institutions.
2. Preference will be given to candidates having CSIR-JRF/NET- LS/ICMR-JRF/DBT-JRF/GATE in the field of Life sciences.
3. Preference will be given to candidates who are interested for the Ph.D.
Nature of duties :
i) Processing of blood samples. Isolation of serum, plasma and PBMCs cells from the blood samples.
ii) Isolation, purification, and culture of PBMCs cells
iii) Estimation of enzymes activities involved in carbohydrates metabolism and Urea cycles
iv) Maintenance of project data and recording of data on computer.
v) Any other related work assigned by the PI/Co-PI.
Senior Project Assistant
Resource Requirement : 01 (One)
Nature of Post : Contractual
Age Limit : 30 years (Relaxation as per ICMR, New Delhi. Government of India rules)
Place of Posting : Department of Biochemistry, AIIMS, Raipur
Project Duration : One Year (Extendable for another one year).
Educational Qualification : Essential:
12Pass in science subjects and two years diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
OR
Three Years Graduates in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biomedical Sciences/Life Sciences
Desirable :
1. Candidate should have more than one year of experience as a Phlebotomist
2. Candidate should have more than one year of research experience in the R&D laboratories/Medical Institutions
Nature of duties : Taking the consent from the patients or patients relative to recruit them for the study, filling the case record proforma Collecting the blood samples from the recruited patients Maintenance of project data and recording of data on computer. Any other related work assigned by the PI/Co-PI.
Co-coordinating with other department
Proposed Salary : Rs.30, 600/-per month.
Terms and conditions
1. This is a fixed tenure contractual vacancy under short term research project and not an employment at AIIMS Raipur payroll.
2. Employment will automatically terminate upon completion of the tenure of 11 months (May be extended for another one year depending on the extension of project from sanctioned authority and eligibility tenure conditions & performance) from the day of joining of duties
3. The appointment can be terminated with one month notice from either side without assigning any reason
4. The candidates have no right to claim for permanent employment at AIIMS Raipur based on this job.
5. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview/written exam.
6. Mere fulfilling the essential qualification does not guarantee for the selection.

Selection procedure :
The applications received will be scrutinized by the selection committee. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for offline interview'. Recruitment will be made through OFFLINE interview.
