Applications are invited for the temporary position of Junior Research Fellow for the Indian Council of Medical Research, Govt. of India sponsored project entitled, Cold Atmospheric Pressure Plasma for the treatment of chronic wounds – A Geroscience based approach under the Principal Investigator Dr. Kamatchi Sankaranarayanan, Physical Sciences Division, Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology, Guwahati, Assam.

The educational qualifications remain the same as for the regular candidates. Qualifying in one of the national entrance tests like CSIR-UGC NET for JRF, UGC-NET for JRF, DBT JRF, ICMR JRF, GATE, and NBHM is desirable but not mandatory. Further, the candidate should have completed two years of full-time employment in the current organization after completion of degree. The candidates must be officially sponsored by their employing organizations and compulsorily fill in an online application form and submit the printed version, in duplicate, on or before 07th April 2025.

Masters in any branch of Life Sciences. The candidate must have cleared a National Level Examination conducted by a government agency. The candidate must have at least two years of experience in Life Sciences research with at least three publications in peer reviewed journals. Understanding the molecular and immunological correlates of tuberculosis-induced cachexia funded by BIRAC.

Towards Discovery and Development of Novel Drugs and Pharmaceuticals. Experience in Natural Product Isolation and Characterization, Evident from Publication. Organic Synthesis, Natural Product Isolation, HPLC analysis.

First-class post-graduate degree including integrated PG such as M.Pharm, M.Sc, M.Tech or Equivalent with specialization in Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Neuroscience.

Discovery and development of therapeutic interventions against multi-drug resistant bacterial pathogens. Master degree in Life Sciences and National Eligibility test – CSIR- UGC NET including lectureship Assistant Professorship or GATE or A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. Experience in the mammalian tissue culture work.

NLRP3 inflammasome has been implicated in a wide range of diseases. Few studies have reported on the NLRP3- NEK7- complex axis role in disease pathogenesis. The functional role of NLRP3 needs to shed light to get deeper insights into the NEK7 role in human immune or inflammatory mediated functions. Overall, our study will be critical for identifying and facilitating in developing therapeutic regimes for better treatments of NLRP3 inflammasome- related inflammatory diseases.

Thalidomide as treatment of basal exudates in Tuberculous Meningitis : A prospective randomized open blinded endpoint PROBE study. Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate, Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship Assistant Professorship and GATE.

Post Graduate degree including integrated PG degrees in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Microbiology or any other branch of life sciences from a recognized university. Preference will be given to candidates who have Qualified for National Research Fellowship examinations.
