The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage.
Post : Project Research Scientist-1 (One post)
Essential Qualification : Post Graduate degree (including integrated PG degrees) in Biochemistry/ Biophysics/ Biotechnology/Microbiology or any other branch of life sciences from a recognized university. Preference will be given to candidates who have Qualified for National Research Fellowship examinations (CSIR-UGC NET/ICMR-JRF/DBT/DST-INSPIRE/GATE etc.)
Desirable : Candidates with hands-on experience in working with extracellular vesicles and/or RNA-seq and with related work experience.
Age limits : As per ICMR rules
Emoluments : Rs. 56,000 + 18% HRA (as per ICMR norms)
The post is purely on a contract basis as per the terms and conditions of ICMR, subject to periodic extensions of the project up to a total duration of 1 year or completion of the project, whichever is earlier. The appointment is terminable with one month's notice from either side without assigning any reason.
