  • CCRS invites applications for post of Research Officer - Government of India

    Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS) is the apex body pertaining to research in Siddha system of Medicine. CCRS is working towards the scientific validation of Siddha System of Medicine through clinical research, drug research, medicinal plants research, fundamental research, literary research and documentation.  CCRS is carrying out its research activities and health care services mainly through 8 peripheral Institutes/Units – 3 located in Tamil Nadu, one each in Puducherry, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and New Delhi. CCRS is currently carrying out 33 Intra-mural Research (IMR) Projects funded by Ministry of AYUSH.

    National Institute of Unani Medicine (NIUM) Bangalore is as an autonomous organization under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India working since 2004. This Institute is being developed as a model of post graduate, teaching, training and research in Unani System of Medicine.  The campus now houses an Academic Block, Hospital Building, Library, Pharmacy, Administrative Block, Herbal Garden, Animal House, Guest House, Indoor Games Hall, Hostels, Residential Blocks and several other units.

    The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab.
