The Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. Since its establishment in 1978, the CCRUM as the apex government organization for research in Unani Medicine has been engaged in conducting scientific research on the applied as well as fundamental aspects of Unani system of medicine. Consequently, over the past four decades of its existence, the Council has made significant strides in clinical resear.
Applications are invited in prescribed form by Director General, Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine, New Delhi for the under mentioned vacancies.
Research Officer (Unani)
No of posts : 34 (OBC-08, SC-17, ST-09)
Scale of pay : Pay Matrix level-10
Age in Years : Upto 40 Years
Essential Educational Qualifications :
(a) Post Graduate degree (M.D.) in Unani from a University/lnstitution recognized by CCIM.
(b) Enrolment on the Central Register of MCI or State Register of CCIM or State Registrar of Unani/ISM.
Research Officer (Pathology)
No of posts : 13 (OBC-03, UR-10)
Scale of pay : Pay Matrix level-10
Age in Years : Upto 40 Years
Essential Educational Qualifications :
(a) M.D. in Pathology from a MCI recognized University/lnstitution.
(b) Enrolment on the Central Register of MCI or State Register of Medical Council.
Research Officer (Bio-chemistry)
No of posts : 01 (ST-01)
Scale of pay : Pay Matrix level-10
Age in Years : Upto 40 Years
Essential Educational Qualifications :
(a) M.D. in Bio-chemistry from a MCI recognized Institution.
(b) Enrolment on the Central Register of MCI or State Register of Medical Council as applicable.
Research Officer (Clinical Pharmacology)
No of posts : 01 (UR-02)
Scale of pay : Pay Matrix level-10
Age in Years : Upto 40 Years
Essential Educational Qualifications :
(a) Post Graduate Degree in the concerned discipline from a recognized University/lnstitution.
(b) 03 years Research/Teaching experience in Clinical Pharmacology after obtaining the Post Graduate Degree.
Research Assistant (Botany & Chemistry)
No of posts : Chemistry : 07 (UR-02, OBC-03, SC-02) & Botany : 04 (UR-01, OBC-01, SC-01, ST-01)
Scale of pay : Pay Matrix level-06
Age in Years : Upto 30 Years
Essential Educational Qualifications :
(a) Post Graduate Degree in the concerned discipline from a recognized University/lnstitution.
(b) Aptitude for Research.
Desirable: Knowledge of Urdu/Arabic/Persian.
Investigator (Statistics):
No of posts : 06 (UR-03, OBC-01, SC-01, ST-01)
Scale of pay : Pay Matrix level-06
Age in Years : Upto 30 Years
Essential Educational Qualifications :
(a) Master Degree in Statistics/Mathematics with Statistics as one of the subject from a recognized University/lnstitution.
(b) 03 years experience in Statistical work involving collection, compilation, interpretation of statistical data preferably in the field of Medical and Health Statistics in recognized Institutions OR
(a) PhD in Statistics from a recognized University/lnstitution.
Desirable:
(a) Knowledge of Urdu, Arabic, Persian.
(b) Knowledge of Computer.

• Application forms may either be downloaded from the website of the Council ccrum.res.in or may be obtained by sending a self addressed envelope (23cm.x10cm.) stamped with postage stamp for Rs.10/- addressed to Assistant Director (Admn.), Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine, Jawahar Lai Nehru Anusandhan Bhawan, 61-65 Institutional Area, Opp. D-Block, Janakpuri, New Delhi-110058.
• Candidates applying for more than one post should send separate applications for each post. Applications received after due date and also such of the applications which are not supported with the Bank Draft of requisite amount and attested copies of the certificates and testimonials, are liable to be rejected.
• Candidates already employed in any organization should send their applications through proper channel.
• Age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged persons and candidates in Government service as per Government of India orders.
• Candidates must be willing to serve anywhere in India.
• Bank draft of Rs.100/- (Rs.20/- in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates) drawn in favor of Director General, CCRUM payable at New Delhi should accompany the application, without which the application will not be entertained.
• Mere fulfilling the minimum prescribed qualification and experience will not vest a right to candidate for being called for interview. The Council may evolve its own criterion to short list the candidates for written examination/interview. This may also include an objective type screening test, if considered necessary. The Council reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview.
• The number of posts may vary. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
• Original certificates and testimonials should not be sent with the application, but should be produced at the time of interview.
• Closing date for receipt of application(s) at the Council Headquarters is 30 days from the date of publication of advertisement in Employment News. The filled up application form super-scribing the envelope "Application
