Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the following non-teaching posts on direct recruitment / deputation / contract basis in the Pay Band and Grade Pay indicated against each of the post plus usual allowance at Central Government rates.

Post: Pharmacist

Essential Qualification & Experience: (1) Bachelor’s Degree (2) Diploma or degree in Pharmacy granted by an institution of the Central / State Govt. or an institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. (3) Should be registered as a ‘Pharmacist’ under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.

Desirable: Experience in any Engineering /Technical Institutes like IIT’s/IISER’s/IISc/NIT’s and similar central Govt. institution.

NB: - (i) Number of vacancies indicated above contains posts reserved for SC / ST/ OBC (OH) as per GOI rules. Total number of vacancies may increase. Candidates belonging to reserved categories are encouraged to apply for different categories of posts as given above.
(ii) One post is reserved for PH (OH) for Junior Assistant. Category Orthopedically Handicapped (OH)

General Instructions / Information:
1. Completed Applications in the prescribed format along with attested copies of relevant certificates and mark-sheets and Bank Draft for Rs.200/- (except for those who are exempted from payment of fees) must the reach The Registrar (Attn: Recruitment Section) IIT Bhubaneswar, Samantapuri, Bhubaneswar -751 013 on or before 25-11-2011. Format of the Application Form may be downloaded from the Institute’s website at www.iitbbs.ac.in and www.iitbbs.gov.in .
2. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH & Woman category are exempt from payment of fees.
3. Bank Draft from any scheduled commercial bank for Rs.200/- shall be drawn in favour of the “Registrar, IIT Bhubaneswar” and made payable at “Bhubaneswar”.
4. The institute strives to have a work force which reflects gender balance and women candidates are encouraged to apply.
5. Knowledge of Computer Application is necessary for all posts.
6. Candidates desirous of applying for more than one post should send separate application for each post along with prescribed fee and attested copies of certificates and testimonials as required.
7. Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the minimum essential qualifications laid down in the advertisement.
8. Candidates should send attested copies of certificates and mark-sheets from matriculation onwards in support of their qualifications. Originals should not be sent along with the application but these must be produced at the time of interview.
9. Candidates seeking reservation benefits available for SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-Service men, Sports person must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed by the Govt of India. They should also be in possession of the certificates in the prescribed format as given in the Annexure-I in support of their claim at the time of application.
10. Application fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
11. Application received after the last date, incomplete in any respect and any fresh paper / enclosures after closing date, shall not be considered.
12. Certificate in support of experience should be in proper format as per format given at Annexure-I.
13. Applicants who are in employment with Government, Semi-Government, Autonomous Bodies, Educational Institutions, PSUs etc. should route their applications through proper channel. However, an advance copy of the application (along with application fee) should reach the Institute on or before the last date.
14. The Institute reserves the right to: (a) conduct written/trade tests for such posts wherever the circumstances so warrant or may fix a criteria after taking into account the qualification and experience of the applicants without conducting any written test (b) not to fill any of the advertised positions (c) fill consequential vacancies including additional posts arising at the time of interview from available candidates by direct recruitment / deputation /contract. The number of positions is thus open to change.
15. Eligibility of a candidate with regard to qualification and experience shall be calculated /considered with reference to last date of the receipt for application.
16. The institute reserves the right to relax experience in exceptional cases for reasons to be recorded in writing, or in the case of persons already holding analogous positions in a Central Technical Institute / University / Research Institutions or in respect of persons holding analogous posts. Relaxation of minimum standards in educational qualification / experience for reserved categories will be as per the current norms prescribed by the MHRD / Govt. of India. A relaxation of 5% of marks from 55% to 50% at Master’s level will be provided to SC/ST/PH candidates, wherever admissible, as per MHRD guidelines.
17. The Institute shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a candidate at the time of appointment or during the tenure of the service. In case, it is detected that the documents
submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has a clandestine antecedents/background and has suppressed the said information, then his/her services shall be terminated.
18. No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for attending the written test / interview. However, the SC/ST/PH candidates will be paid second/sleeper class railway/bus fare by shortest route, subsequently by cheque.
19. No correspondence will be entertained from candidates regarding postal delays, conduct and result of interview and reasons for not being called for interview.
20. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
21. The post in Sl. No. 10 is temporary and will be in operation for a maximum period of two years.
22. The upper age limit for posts at Sl. No. 1 = 56 years Sl.No.2 = 50 years, Sl. No. 3 to 5 & 16=40 Years, at Sl. Nos. 6 to 11 = 35 years and Sl. No. 12 to 15 = 32 years as on closing date of receipt of the application. Age relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-servicemen, Central Govt employees and eligible women candidates as per Govt of India norms. Relaxation age is applicable in respect of meritorious sports persons in respect of posts at Sl. No. 12 to 15 only. Employees working under IIT system who are otherwise educationally qualified would be eligible for age relaxation upto 50 years of age as per MHRD norm. Upper age limit would not apply in respect of deputation of employees under the Central /State Government / Central Educational Institutes. Certificates in the prescribed proforma as given in Annexure-1 are required to be submitted for admissible relaxation.
23. No interim enquires / correspondence / communication of any sort will be entertained on the matter. However, candidates are advised to visit the Institute’s websites www.iitbbs.ac.in or www.iitbbs.gov.in for any update in this regard.
24. Application incomplete in any respect and not accompanied by relevant certificate / documents / photograph / demand draft etc. including those received after last date will be summarily rejected.
Check-list of Documents to be submitted along with the application.
1. Duly Filled in Application Form in the prescribed format;
2. Latest colour Passport size photograph indicating the date;
3. Demand Draft for Rs.200/- (Except those exempt from payment of fees)
4. Attested Copies of all certificates, Mark sheets from SSC/HSC/Matriculation onwards;
5. Attested copies of any other relevant certificates / testimonials.
6. Attested Copies Caste Certificates (SC/ST/OBC), certificates for Persons with Disabilities (PD), Ex-Servicemen, for meritorious sports persons, for Central Govt employees certificate of experience issued by the Competent Authorities, as per prescribed proformae given in Annexure-I. In case of OBC category candidates, latest non-creamy layer certificate is essential.
7. In case of deputation from Central/ State Govt including Central Educational Institutes, necessary NOC and vigilance clearance certificates are to be submitted while forwarding the application.
