National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Guwahati (NIPER-G) is an autonomous institute of National importance and the first national pharma institute in NE India set up by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India by an act of parliament, to impart high quality Education & Research in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The Institute intents to fill the following Project positions in the DBT-NER Advance Level Institutional Biotech Hub sponsored project through walk-in interview.
Project Associate I
Fellowship : Rs. 31,000/- p.m. + 16% HRA consolidated
Name of the Project / Sponsoring Agency : “DBT-NER Advance Level Institutional Biotech Hub project (BT/NER/143/SP44413/2021)”
Job Description : The project involves 4 training programmes (5 days / programme) in a year in the area of Molecular Biology and Cell culture techniques for the Master students and young college faculties. The appointed Project Associate is expected to take care of organizing the training programmes and 4 outreach programmes under the supervision of programme coordinators. Besides this, the Project Associate will get opportunity to work part of the project scientific objectives.
Qualifications and Experience :
Essential:
• M.S. (Pharma.)/ M.Tech/ M.Sc in Biotechnology with first- class (60% marks). OR
• M.Sc in Biochemistry/Microbiology with first- class (60% marks).
Desirable :
• Hands on experience in the area of Molecular Biology techniques evidenced by master thesis/project work. Experience in Teaching/ Handling Molecular biology related practical
• As this project requires frequent visit to colleges and academic institutes of Assam and North-east states for training purposes, preference may be given to the candidates who can speak Assamese or North-east states languages. The appointment will be on a contract basis initially for up to one year (up to 12 months) that may be extended until the project's completion based on the candidate's performance.

Lab Assistant

Qualifications and Experience : Essential: Graduation in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Microbiology/Chemistry with first class or second class.
Desirable :
• Experience in laboratory work and assisting practical in colleges.
• As this project requires frequent visit to colleges and academic institutes of Assam and North-east states for training purposes, preference may be given to the candidates who can speak Assamese or North-east states languages. The appointment will be on a contract basis initially for up to one year (up to 12 months) that may be extended until the project's completion based on the candidate's performance.
Max. Age limit : 28 years
1. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates attending the interview.
2. Candidates will have to report at least 30 minutes before commencing the interview.
3. No candidates will be allowed to report after 3 PM.
4. Candidates are requested to bring a complete Bio-data mentioning Personal details, Educational details & Work Experience details.
5. Candidates are also requested to bring all educational qualifications mark sheets, certificates, proper work experience certificates in original as well as a set of photocopy of all documents.
