The Government of Gujarat had established the Gujarat Agricultural University in the state vide Gujarat Act, No. 13 of 1969. The Government of Gujarat repealed Gujarat Agricultural University Act, 1969 and promulgated GAUs Act, No. 5 of 2004. Accordingly, Four State Agricultural Universities have been carved out from erstwhile GAU, S. D. Agricultural University being one of them.
Post : Assistant Research Scientist (contractual) ARS
The candidate meeting the following academic qualification are to be engaged on the posts of Assistant Research Scientist (Contractual) on contractual base for the period not exceeding 11 (eleven) months in the plan scheme ‘Strenthghning of referral laboratory of seed spices ’ at Bio Science Research Centre, SDAU, S. K. Nagar.
Emoluments : Rs. 25,000/- Fixed per month
Duration : Period not exceeding 11 months from date of appointment
Educational qualification : Ph.D OR M.Sc with 2 year experience,Specialization in Biochemistry/Biotechnology /Microbiology/ Basic Science / Life Sciences / Chemistry (Analytical, QC.QA) / Pharmacy (QC.QA. Equiv.) / M V Sc (Pharmacology).
Desirable Qualification : Candidate with NET/SLET OR having experience on Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry techniques / Similar analytical technique in laboratory works.
The candidates fulfilling above requirement are hereby informed to bring dully filled enclosed Performa along with the brief resume and document of their academic qualifications, age, etc at the time of interview.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. The above mentioned positions are purely temporary on the contractual basis i.e. 11 months from date of appointment or till the end of project, whichever is earlier. S. D. Agricultural University is not bound to provide any employment after completion of the period.
2. If the performance of selected candidate is not found satisfactory or misconduct, his / her services will be terminated without any prior notice even before the period for which he/ she is engaged.

4. Candidate to be remain present at least 30 minute before schedule interview above specified date and time at his/her own cost, along with his/ her Bio-data (as per Performa), one pass-port size photograph, attested copies of educational qualifications, work experience certificates and age proof of the candidate.

6. Those candidates who are already working in any project/ scheme/organization /perusing higher studies, if selected need to submit No Objection certificate from his/her present employer / institute prior to joining.
