GSSSB Pharmacists Openings

Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board, Gandhinagar invites online applications from candidates under a special recruitment drive on the OJAS website for filling up a total of 10 posts of Junior Pharmacist, Class-3 cadre under the control of the Medical Education and Research Division under the control of the Health and Family Welfare Department only from the disabled candidates. For this, candidates will have to apply online from ojas.gujarat.gov.in from 01/04/2025 (14:00 hrs) to 25/04/2025 (time till 23:59 hrs). All the instructions regarding the recruitment process will be posted on the board's website https://gsssb.gujarat.gov.in, so keep checking the board's website from time to time.

Salary Scale :-  As per Finance Department Resolution No. Expenditure/2002/57/Part-4/Z.1 dated 18/10/2023  A monthly fixed salary of Rs.40,800/- (Rupees forty thousand eight hundred in figures) will be given for the first five years as well as the terms and conditions of Finance Department Resolution No. Expenditure/2002/57/(Part-3)/Z.1 dated 28/03/2016 and 16/10/2020 and the candidate will be eligible for regular appointment in the Seventh Pay Commission pay scale of Rs.29200/- to Rs.92300/- (Level-5) in the concerned office if his services are found satisfactory at the end of five years. However, this matter has been filed in the Supreme Court in SLP NO. 14124/2012 and SLP NO. 14125/2012 1 will be subject to the judgment.

Educational Qualification
(b) Posses, - (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or degree of Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognised as such or declared as deemed to be University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or 
(ii) a Diploma in Pharmacy or degree of Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognised as such or declared as deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; and having about two years experience as a Junior Pharmacist in Government, Government Undertaking or Board or as a Dispenser in the hospital or in dispensaries or as a Pharmacist or Medical Representative of any of the Pharmaceutical Company established under the Companies Act,2013; 
(c) possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967; and 
(d) possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or Both.


Nationality
The candidate should be a citizen of India or should have the nationality as per the provisions of Rule-7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.

Age Limit
The age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 35 years as on 25/04/2025;
The upper age limit may be relaxed in favour of the candidate who is already in the service of the Government of Gujarat as per the provisions of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.

Note
(1) The important points of educational qualification prescribed in the recruitment rules of the above mentioned cadre have been included in the application form. But at the time of final selection, all the provisions of educational qualification prescribed in the recruitment rules will be taken into account. The candidate will have to fill the details in the application form only after considering all the details of educational qualification mentioned in the advertisement.
(2) For the upper age limit of the cadre, the provisions of Gujarat Civil Service Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967 as well as the provisions mentioned in the recruitment rules of that cadre have been taken into account.
(3) If any question arises during the recruitment process regarding the interpretation of the educational qualification prescribed in the recruitment rules, the appropriate decision will be taken in consultation with the office of the Head of the concerned Department/Department.

Computer Knowledge:-
Candidates should have a certificate/mark sheet from any training institute stating that they have basic knowledge of computers as per the syllabus prescribed by the State Government's General Administration Department, Resolution No.: CRR/102007/120320/G.5 dated 13/08/2008. Or certificates of having completed any diploma/degree or certificate course in computer knowledge from a government recognized university or institution or certificates of having computer as a subject in the degree or diploma course or certificates of having passed the standard 10th or standard 12th examination with computer as a subject. Also, candidates who do not have such a certificate at this stage can also apply. But such candidates will have to submit such a certificate of having passed the basic knowledge of computers examination to the appointing authority before getting the appointment. Otherwise, the candidate will not be eligible for appointment. Also, the appointing authority will "cancel" the selection of the candidates in such cases.


Date fixed for Educational Qualification/ Age Limit/ Additional Qualification:-
In case of candidates of all categories mentioned in the advertisement, the status of educational qualification, age limit, non-creamy layer certificate, eligibility certificate for economically weaker sections and other necessary qualifications as on 25/04/2025 will be considered.

Examination Fee :-
As per the provision in the letter dated 31/01/2024 of the General Administration Department, the standard of examination fee for all direct recruitment examinations conducted by the Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board shall be as follows.

Primary Examination
Reserved Category (Disabled Candidates) : Rs..400/-
The fees paid shall be refunded to those candidates who appear for the examination.
The candidates who appear for the examination shall be eligible for refund of the examination fee.
All the candidates have to fill the online application form as mentioned above.

General Instructions
(1) The details filled by the candidate in the application form will be considered final for the entire recruitment process and its proofs will have to be submitted in original at the time of verification of certificates. Otherwise, the application form will be considered “cancelled” at that stage.
(2) The candidate should keep more than one copy of the passport size photograph of the photo uploaded in the application form and should use the copy of the same photograph throughout the recruitment process of this advertisement-cadre. (Like putting it in the attendance sheet at the time of examination and also submitting a copy of the same photograph at the time of verification of original certificates.)
(3) The candidate should keep the mobile number indicated at the time of filling the application form active. In future, some examination-related instructions related to this examination will be sent to the candidate by the board through SMS on the mobile number indicated in this number, so it is in your interest to maintain the mobile number indicated in the application form until the recruitment process is completed.

The Board shall not permit any candidate who 
(1) attempts to obtain any support for his candidature in any way, i.e., attempts to directly or indirectly impute to the Chairman, Member or any officer of the Board, 
(2) assumes the name of another, 
(3) causes another to assume his name, 
(4) submits forged or tampered documents or commits any irregularity, 
(5) makes statements which are true or false or conceals material information, (s) resorts to any other irregular or improper means in connection with his candidature for the examination, 
(7) uses any improper means during the examination, i.e., copies from the answer book of another candidate, copies with the help of a book, guide, slip or any such printed or handwritten literature or copies through conversation or commits any of the following irregularities: 
(8) writes in writings containing obscene language or obscene matter, 
(9) in any other manner in the examination hall 
(10) For misconduct, 
(11) For directly or indirectly harassing or causing bodily harm to the staff engaged by the Board for the conduct of the examination, 
(12) For attempting to do all or any of the acts specified in the preceding clauses or for aiding and abetting, as the case may be, or For contravening any of the instructions given in his admit card permitting him to appear for the examination, he shall, in addition to being liable to criminal proceedings, be liable to  (a) the Board may disqualify him from the examination for which he is a candidate, or (b)(1) the Board may exclude him from appearing in any examination for direct selection, or (b)(2) the State Government may exclude him permanently or for a specified period from any service under it. 
(13) If a candidate has ever been disqualified by the Gujarat Public Service Commission, other recruitment boards, other government/semi-government/government-owned institutions and the period of disqualification is still in progress, the application of such candidates will be automatically liable to be cancelled.

(5) The Gujarat Government has implemented the Gujarat Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2023, in order to prevent irregularities in public examinations and leakage of question papers. The Government has also included the Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board as the "Examination Authority" in the said Act. Therefore, since all the competitive examinations conducted by the Board are to be considered as public examinations, the said Act is also applicable to the examinations of the Board. Therefore, in the competitive examination of the said advertisement, if any candidate is found guilty of any of the Gujarat Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2023, then legal action will be taken against him as mentioned in the said Act.
(6) If any details given by the candidate in the application form and certificates submitted at the time of verification of original certificates regarding date of birth, educational qualification, age, caste, experience etc. are found to be false at any stage of verification in the future, appropriate legal action will be taken against him/her. The candidature of such a candidate may be “cancelled** by the Board. He shall also be disqualified for recruitment to other cadres. Also, if selected/appointed, the selection/appointment shall be “cancelled” at any stage by the Board/Appointing Authority.
(7) Passing the competitive examination conducted by the Board does not entitle a candidate to appointment. Appointment shall be granted only if the Authority is satisfied at the time of appointment that the candidate is suitable in all respects.
(8) The selected candidate shall be eligible for appointment subject to such conditions as the Appointing Authority may determine.
(9) A candidate shall not be entitled to claim appointment to the post concerned merely because he has passed the examination. If the appointing authority is satisfied that the candidate is not suitable for public service, he may be dropped. His decision regarding appointment shall be final.
(10) The recruitment process shall be entirely subject to the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules-1967 (as amended from time to time) and the recruitment rules framed thereunder for that cadre.
(11) The provisions of the rules/resolutions of the State Government from time to time shall apply regarding the recruitment process.

If for any reason it becomes necessary to modify or cancel this advertisement and the recruitment process, the Board shall have full right/authority to do so and the Board shall not be bound to give reasons for this.
