CAR-T (Cell & Gene Therapy) Department

Sr. Scientist – Cell Therapy
Location : Bangalore 
Desired Profile : Ph.D. (specialization Immunology or Immuno-oncology) with 5-6 years of experience in academia and/or industry
Job Description, Key Skills, and Competencies :
 
• Develop new cell therapy products and perform validations to take the product to the next stage.
• Extensive experience working with different types of immune cells and deep understanding of both innate and adaptive immune systems is required. Previous experience in gene and/or cell therapy drug development teams will be preferred.
• Experience in design and delivery of genes using viral or non-viral transfer techniques. Design and construct of viral vectors using state-of-the-art molecular synthesis and cloning techniques.
• Experience in use of CRISPR/Cas9 or TALEN or other gene-editing tools.
• Well-versed with different molecular biology techniques like cloning, subcloning, real-time and quantitative PCR, etc.
• Able to multitask and contribute to multiple projects under demanding timelines while preserving integrity, accuracy, safety,and quality.
• Should be proficient in verbal, written and presentation skills and previous experience in writing grants and research articles will be preferred.
• Should have had experience in managing a team or working in a crossfunctional group and interacting with clients/collaborators.
• Must have leadership skills to gear a team towards excellence. Manage day to day activity of team members providing critical technical/scientific recommendations with effective trouble-shooting and innovative capabilities.
• Should be able to effectively communicate and work closely in a highly matrixed team environment to advance company’s cell therapy pipeline.
• Understand systems and processes pertaining to sterile practices, work ethics, safety, health, and environment.
• Involve in preparation and participation during compliance monitoring inspections and regulatory agency interactions.
• Involve in preparation and review of protocols, reports, regulatory documents, pertaining to program requirement.

Research Associate – Cell Therapy 
Location : Bangalore 
Desired Profile  : M.Sc/M.Tech in Biotechnology with 3-4 years of experience in academia and/or industry
Job Description, Key Skills, and Competencies :
• Candidate will be expected to have worked with primary cells and cell lines in immunology or immuno-oncology context. Prior experience working in development and validation of cell and gene therapy products will be preferred.
• Must be well-versed in cell-based assay development, flow cytometry, sorting, real-time PCR, and microbiological assays.
• Should be able to effectively communicate and work closely in a highly matrixed team environment to advance company’s cell therapy pipeline.
• Should be able to closely coordinate and show active participation working with internal functions like manufacturing, quality assurance, clinical development, supply chain management as well as with external collaborators for development of a product.
• Expected to exhibit strict adherence to project timelines while preserving integrity, accuracy, safety, and quality.
• Must be involved in preparation and review of SOPs, protocols, reports, regulatory documents, pertaining to program requirement.
• Understand systems and processes pertaining to sterile practices, work ethics, safety, health, and environment.
