The Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS), Chennai, an Autonomous Body under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India proposed to engage the services of the following positions on Contractual/Outsourcing basis through Walk-in Interview as per the details given below. A written test will be held, if need be, depending on the number of candidates followed by an interview on the same day of those candidates who qualify in the written test.

It is an apex body in India for initiating, undertaking, formulating, developing, co-ordinating and promoting research in Siddha on scientific lines.

CCRS is working towards the scientific validation of Siddha System of Medicine through clinical research, drug research, medicinal plants research, fundamental research, literary research and documentation.  CCRS is carrying out its research activities and health care services mainly through 8 peripheral Institutes/Units – 3 located in Tamil Nadu, one each in Puducherry, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and New Delhi. CCRS is currently carrying out 33 Intra-mural Research (IMR) Projects funded by Ministry of AYUSH.

The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) is an autonomous body under the Department of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha & Homoeopathy (AYUSH), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The Council is an apex body in India for formulation, development and promotion of research in Ayurvedic system of medicine. The Council carries out its activities and functions through its network of 31 Institutions located all over India.

Siddha system of Medicine, Govt. of India, by  bifurcating the erstwhile CCRAS, formed CCRS (Central Council for Research in Siddha) with its headquarters in Chennai and six Research Institutes/Units in four states namely, Tamil Nadu (Chennai, Mettur & Palayamkottai), Puducherry (Puducherry), New Delhi and Kerala (Thiruvananthapuram). Siddha is a science of holistic health emphasising both drug and diet for human health care.

Siddha Central Research Institute (SCRI) is the pioneer institute for research established in the year 1971 to spin in all spheres of Siddha Research such as Clinical Research, Drug Development and Literary research.  It is governed by Institutional Human Ethics Commitee, Institutional Animal Ethics Commitee and having adequate infrastructure and various departments like Clinical research, Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry, Pharmacology, Literary research and Pharmacy.
