Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra is a Deemed University under Sec. 3 of the U.G.C. Act 1956. The Board of Governors is responsible for the main functions and overall supervision of activities. Ramgarh Cantonment Board was established in the year 1941 and it is situated on the bank of River Damodar. Earlier it had 07 Wards. After demarcation in the year 2007 one more ward was added. The total area of Cantonment Board Ramgarh is 9312.38 acres comprising civil and military area. As per census 2011 the total population is 88781. Presently the total population might have crossed approx 01 lacs. In there are two Regimental Centers situated within i.e the Punjab Regimental Centre and the Sikh Regimental Centre.

Karnataka Antibiotics and Pharmaceuticals Limited is a Joint Sector Company of Government of India with shareholding from Government of Karnataka through Karnataka State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation KSIIDC. From a modest beginning in 1984, KAPL has grown exponentially in the areas of manufacturing and marketing of various life saving and essential drugs.

The President of India gave assent to The Central Universities Act, 2009 that envisages establishing and incorporating universities for teaching and research in the various states. The Central University of Jharkhand came into being under this Act on 1st of March, 2009. The Visitor of the Central University of Jharkhand, Her Excellency, Shrimati Pratibha Devisingh Patil, appointed Dr. Darlando T. Khathing, an internationally renowned scientist and a distinguished academic administrator, as its first Vice Chancellor.

Ranchi College of Pharmacy is situated in the capital city of Jharkhand, i.e. in Ranchi. It is the oldest pharmacy college in Jharkhand. College is having full amenities, infrastructure and well equipped laboratories. It has Diploma and Bachelor in Pharmacy course presently.
