National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health (NIRRH), formerly known as Institute for Research in Reproduction is a premier research institute of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). It is situated in the vicinity of a number of hospitals and research institutes in central Mumbai. Since its inception in 1970, it has been making vigorous efforts to improve the reproductive health of people through research, education and health care services. The Institute is affiliated to the University of Mumbai which awards degrees to the M.Sc. and Ph.D students in the areas of Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biochemistry and Applied Biology. The Institute is one of the few centers in India , which can boast of a team of basic, clinical and operational research scientists and state-of-art laboratories equipped with modern facilities to carry out research on various components of reproductive health.

Applications are invited through Walk-in-Interview on 14-02-2012 between 09:00 hrs. and 12:00 hrs. for the following vacancy under Non-Institutional ad-hoc project.

Title of project: “Elucidating the differences in the cellular proteome of monocytes from pre and postmenopausal women with varying bone mass”.

Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

No. of Vacancy: 1 Post

Salary: 16000+30% HRA p.m.

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry from recognized university.

Desirable: One-two years research experience in proteomics and molecular biology will be preferred. NET qualified candidates will be preferred.

Age: 28 Yrs

Duration: 3 years

Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH Candidates will be as per the government rules.
Qualification/degree should be from a reputed Institution/University.
Mere fulfilling the essential qualification/experience does not guarantee for selection.
Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
No TA/DA will be paid either for attending the interview or joining the post.  

Candidates must bring along with them all the relevant documents in original and one set of attested photocopies of the same and one passport size recent colour photograph.
