In an effort to promote science and industry-academia collaboration, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) and Granules India Limited (GIL) are coming together to set up “Dr. Chigurupati Center for Excellence in Innovative and Sustainable Pharmaceutical Development (CCE-ISPD) Center” at NIPER, SAS Nagar with the specific objective of establishing a research center to develop and promote innovative formulation technologies in pharmaceuticals with a focus on sustainability. The Center’s research domains will encompass, among other things, exploration of plant-based excipients, advancement in polymer-free pharmaceutical formulations, research on directly compressible crystals, promotion of solvent-free pharmaceutical processes. NIPER, SAS Nagar is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a center of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Government of India has declared NIPER as an institute of national importance. GIL is engaged in the business of developing, manufacturing and marketing pharmaceutical products including tablets, pharmaceutical formulation intermediates (PFIs) and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in various jurisdictions on a global scale.

Post-Doctoral Fellow - 02 posts
Qualification and Experience : Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Solid state chemistry or related areas. Candidates having experience in the area of pre- formulation profiling, crystallization, crystal engineering, process development for oral solid dosage forms, solid state characterization shall be preferred.
Research Associate cum Analytical Chemist (Analytical R&D) - 01 Post
Qualification and Experience : i) Ph. D in Analytical chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Solid state chemistry
ii) Master’s in Analytical chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Solid state chemistry (MSc with 5 years of experience /M.Pharm. with 3 years of experience) Candidate with experience in method development, validation and documentation related to HPLC, Solid State Characterization, Dissolution, impurity profiling, stability studies, knowhow of regulatory requirements in the field of Analytical services, stability indicating analytical methods will be preferred.
Age limit : Not more than 35 years (age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD is as per GoI rules. The candidates are required to attach valid proof for claiming relaxation as per the guidelines prescribed by the Government of India from time to time).
Fellowship : Rs. 65,000/-p.m. + HRA Rs. 13,000/- p.m.
The engagement is full time and purely temporary for all intent and purposes initially for a period of 01 year and extendable to 03 years subject to availability of funds and on the satisfactory performance of the candidate and/or co-terminus with the duration of the project.
Preference for potential recruitment at GIL can be given, provided there is right fit of candidate for any vacancy.

• Candidates are required to attach the valid proof of deposit of the prescribed application fee, wherever applicable, with the application form.
