Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate-I and Project Associate-I to work under the research project entitled "Developing Multi-utility Seaweed Polysaccharide- Based Agri-inputs for Enhanced Crop Productivity and Sustainability" funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT, GoI) at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU). The post is purely temporary and co-terminates with the project.
Post : Research Associate-I and Project Associate-I
Research Associate I (No. of Positions: 01)
Minimum Qualifications : Ph.D./MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Desirable Qualifications :
• Candidates with prior research experience in biopolymer extraction, derivatization and their characterization, synthesis of superabsorbent composites/hydrogels, seed coating and their characterization, handling biomass processing reactor and related assemblies, bioprocess engineering
• Candidates with prior research publications/patent in biopolymers, superabsorbent composites, hydrogels, seed coating
• Candidates with hands-on experience in operating a biomass processing reactor
• Candidates must have proficiency in scientific writing and lab management
Age Limit : Up to 35 years on the closing date of the advertisement, with age relaxation as per GoI Instructions
Fellowship Duration : Initially for 1 year (extended to next year, subject to satisfactory performance)
Total project duration : 2 years
Fellowship : 58000 + HRA (as per the sanctioned letter)
Project Associate I (No. of Positions: 01)
Eligibility Minimum Qualifications : Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences MVSc or bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent
Desirable Qualifications : Candidates should have experience working in agriculture and horticulture (field and pot trials), Seedling growth parameters (Root and Shoot length, Vigor index) Experience in lab management and administration
Age Limit : Up to 35 years on the closing date of the advertisement, with age relaxation as per GoI Instructions Fellowship Duration Initially for 1 year (extended to next year, subject to satisfactory performance)
Total project duration : 2 years
Fellowship : 25000 + HRA (as per the sanctioned letter)
