National Vrkshayuuveda Research Institute (NVARI) Jhansi established in the year 1973, renamed as Central Ayurveda Research Institute in Dec 2020, is engaged in the research with the focus mandate, i. conduct medicio-botanical exploration in parts of Central India ii. Collect and supply genuine raw drug materials for R&D work iii. To build up repositories for medicinal plants and crude drugs iv. To established herbal garden and carrying out cultivation of medicinal plants for Ayurveda. The Institute has developed a good herbarium where more than 24000 accessioned specimens of 205 families, 1129 genera and 2563 species are housed and maintained. The herbarium has been registered with index herbariorum and allotted the acronym JHS.
Walk-in-Interview for the post of SRF in IMR Research Projects will be held at our Institute at 10.00 AM as per the dates given below. The posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Selection process will comprise of a written test followed by interview of the candidates who qualify in written test on the same day. Fellowship of SRF will be Rs. 42,000/- per month + HRA.
Senior Research Fellow (Pharmacognosy) - 01 Post
Name of the project : Development of Quality standards for Useful Parts of selected Medicinal Plants of Ayurveda
Qualification & experience :
I. Essential : M.Pharm in Pharmacognosy / MS Natural Products/ M. Pharm (Ay) (or) M.Sc. in Botany/Medicinal plants from a recognized University/ Institution with two years research experience.
II. Desirable
a. Sound knowledge of Pharmacognostical techniques, drug standardization and analytical
techniques. Skills of drafting, editing of scientific documents/ articles /technical reports etc.,
b. Research experience in projects related to AYUSH drugs
c. Publications in peer reviewed journals.
Senior Research Fellow (Chemistry) - 01 Post

Senior Research Fellow (Pharmacognosy) - 01 Post
Name of the project : Macroscopic and microscopic alias preparation of selected plants of Ayurvedic importance
Qualification & experience :
I. Essential: M.Pharm in Phytochemistry / Medicinal chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / MS in Natural products (or)
M.Sc in Chemistry with two years research experience from a recognized University/ Institution.
II. Desirable
Experience in handling instruments like
a. HPTLC, HPLC
b. Research experience in projects related to AYUSH drugs
c. Skills of drafting, editing of scientific documents / articles/technical reports etc.,
d. Publications in peer reviewed journals.
Interested candidates fulfilling the above criteria should apply in the prescribed proforma along with self-attested copy of certificates in support of age and qualification and two passport size recent photographs. The candidates are required to appear for written test/interview at the above mentioned address. The candidates who are attending for interview will be required to carry their original testimonials for verification. The interested candidates must reach the venue (Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Indrapuri, Gwalior road, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh-284002) at 10.00am for registration and beyond that, no candidate will be allowed for written test/interview.
Note :
1. The engagement would be purely on contractual basis and co-terminus with the projects and no claim for continuance of regular appointment will be entertained.
2. Age limit: Not more than 35years on the date of Interview.
3. Relaxation of age for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt, of India Rules.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test/interview.
5. Candidates already working should produce “No Objection Certificate” in case he / she is employed elsewhere.
