Paradip Port Authority (PPA) intends to engage 07 (seven) nos. of Pharmacist on contractual basis. The details regarding posts showing qualifications, remunerations etc. for the post are as below
Post: Pharmacist (on contract)
Qualification
i) D.Pharm / B.Pharm Degree from a reputed university/institute recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India.
ii) An approved / registered pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
Experience:
i) 10 or more years experiences in Pharmaceutical store / warehouse functions and dispensing of medicine
ii) Exposure in handling regulatory audits on stock and stores.
iii) Hands on experience on working in Hospital Information Management Systems (HIMS).
No of posts: 7 nos.
Age limit: Maximum age limit is 50 years
Period of contract: The engagement will be for a period of 03 year and extendable for 02 years-each of 01 year duration, based on the performance and requirement of Paradip Port Authority.
Terms &Conditions:
i) The selected candidate will be paid a monthly consolidated remuneration as stated in the table above with an enhancement of remuneration @3% per year.
ii) The selected candidate will be provided PPA residential charters on usual rent, subject to availability. Additional Energy & water charges as applicable to Port employees to be paid extra.
iii) The selected candidate will be posted under the control of tho office of Chief Medical Officer, Paradip Port Authority.
iv) The selected candidate will directly report to the Chief Medical Officer, PPA, or any other officer nominated by him, for his daily performance.
v) The selected candidate will be required to perform duties of Pharmacist (on contract) during different shift as may be assigned by the Chief Medical Officer, PPA.
vi) The selected candidates will not be allowed to avail any kind of leave except National Holidays and 12 days Casual Leave with prior permission of Chief Medical Officer, PPA.
vii) The selected candidates will be allowed to avail weekly off days as would be decided by the Chief Medical Officer, PPA.
viii) The selected candidates should not leave headquarters without prior permission of Chief Medical Officer, PPA.
ix) The selected candidate will be entitled for free medical facility for self only at Port Hospital, PPA. However, no reimbursement for medicine/ medical articles purchased from outside, diagnostic test done outside or treatment received outside will be allowed. This restriction will not apply for treatment of any injury sustained due to accident, occurred in the course of and arising out of the contractual engagement.
x) The selected candidate shall be responsible for charge and care of the PPA money, goods and stores and all other property that may be entrusted on him/her and he/she will be accountable for the same.
xi) The selected candidate will maintain absolute integrity and devotion to duty and will be liable for penal action for misconduct or causing loss to Port property attributable to her/him during the period of contract engagement.
xii) The contractual engagement may be terminated at any time without assigning any reason thereof by giving one month’s notice or either side and in special case immediately. In the event of failure to give notice by the employee, one month salary or part, in lieu thereof, will be recovered.
xiii) The engagement is purely on contractual basis and the engagement on contract basis will not confer any right for claiming regular appointment etc. On selection he/she will require to enter in to a bond to be executed on non-judicial stamp paper worth Rs.100/- in the enclosed format within 15 days of his/her joining.
xiv) PPA reserves the right either to cancel the circular or increase/decrease the number of engagements without assigning any reason thereof
xv) Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
xvi) No TA/DA is admissible for appearing in interview/personal discussions.
Method of Selection: The selection will be based on Interview.

b) Mere fulfillment of the eligibility criteria will not confer any right upon the candidate for selection.
c) Management reserves the right to cancel the selection process without any reference to the candidates.
