Post : Junior Research Fellow
Advertisement for Walk in Interview for the post of Junior Research Fellow on contractual basis for financially approved research project by ICMR entitled “Cardio-autonomic profile and cognitive status of COPD patients in tribal population of Chhattisgarh with reference to genetic polymorphism: Identification of reliable functional & molecular risk predictors” to be conducted at Department of Physiology, AIIMS, Raipur, for a period of three year purely on contractual basis as per below mentioned details.
Essential Qualification : M.Sc.(Anthropology / Physiology / Life- Sciences / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology) Minimum
Eligibility criteria : 55% marks. Candidates who have already appeared for their M.Sc. final examination (awaiting result) may also appear. However, their selection will be provisional till the declaration of their M.Sc. result (limited up to one month from the date of interview)
Desirable : 1. Experience of working in tribal areas under field conditions.
2. Knowledge of handling of molecular biology laboratory.
3. Knowledge of Computer Application
4. Candidate is expected to stay at tribal areas for few days during camps for collection of data.
Age Limit : 35 Years
Job Profile
1. Recording of ECG for heart rate for Heart Rate Variability (HRV) analysis, Cognitive tests (subjective & objective) and blood sample collection to be used for SNP analysis on the Kamar (Primitive tribe T1) and Bhunjia tribe (not very primitive;T2) as well as urban population.
2. Maintenance of lab related documents.
3. Any other lab related activities as deemed fit by PI and CoPI
Job duration : 11th Months (extendable every 11th month depending on the candidate’s performance and budget grant from the funding agency)
Place of work : AIIMS, Raipur
Monthly salary : Rs. 35,960/- (per month)
Terms and conditions
1. This is a fixed tenure contractual vacancy under funded project and not an employment on AIIMS Raipur pay roll.
2. Employment will automatically terminate upon completion of (11months) from the day of joining of duties & no further extension granted.
3. The appointment can be terminated with one month notice from either side without assigning any reason.
4. Extension on the job may be given if there is further requirement or extension of project depending upon previous work performance evaluation report.
5. The candidates have no right to claim permanent employment based on this job at AIIMS Raipur.
6. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
7. Selection of the candidate will be based upon experience & performance before the selection committee during the Interview.
