The University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Panjab University is a premier institution of Pharmaceutical Education and Research in the country. The institute has covered a long and glorious journey of 76 years starting from Lahore in 1944 and finally settling to the present campus in Chandigarh at the foothills of Himachal. In its travelogue, the institute crossed multiple milestones and continue to head ahead towards the well-defined goals. The elevation of the status from department to the level of an institute i.e. University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1994, and hosting of Indian Pharmaceutical Congress in the same year, two presidential honors of the Indian Pharmaceutical Congresses to its faculty members, a special recognition by the UGC by granting SAP in 1993 and COSIST in 1981 establishment of ICMR Advanced Centre for standardization of Drugs of Indian System of Medicine are some of the major hallmarks on the path treaded so far.

Fresh Applications with detailed Bio-Data along and attested copies of certificates are invited for the appointment of ‘Junior Research Fellow’ and ‘Laboratory Attendant’ in the ICMR sponsored research project entitled “Evaluation of different delivery strategies for therapeutic application of Klebsiella pneumoniae phages in a burn wound model”.

Post: Junior Research Fellow  (2 Nos.) (16,000/- PM + HRA (20%) - Fixed)

Essential Qualifications:
1.
M.Sc. with atleast 55% marks in Microbiology/Life Sciences.
2. Candidate should be M.Pharm. in Pharmaceutics (First Division; GATE/GPAT Qualified).

Desirable Qualifications:
1. UGC-NET (for Ph.D) / PU Ph.D Entrance Exam cleared candidates will be preferred. Research and practical experience in handling animals and pathogenic organisms along with knowledge of immunological techniques and HPTLC, HPLC and TLC will be preferred.
2.Relevant research and practical experience in handling animals and pathogenic organisms along with knowledge of immunological and drug delivery techniques and HPTLC, HPLC and TLC will be preferred.

Post: Laboratory Attendant (11,068/- PM (Fixed)

Essential Qualifications: Matriculation with Science

Desirable Qualifications: Practical experience in handling animals, Glass ware washing, Lab cleaning and maintenance of lab instruments, computer typing etc.
