Masters degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmacology or Bacteriology or Medicine or Microbiology or Biotechnology of a recognised university or institute.
Masters degree in the relevant subject Genomics / Biotechnology/ Biochemistry with at least 5 years of research and clinical experience as evidenced from Fellowship / Associateship / Training/ other engagements.
Three Years Graduate degree in Life Sciences / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Medical Laboratory Technology or relevant subject / field plus Two Years post- qualification experience in relevant subject
Masters Degree or equivalent in relevant disciplines (e.g., Life Sciences, Biotechnology, microbiology, bioinformatics) with minimum 2 years of research experience after Masters degree.
Masters Degree in Pharmacology / Life Sciences with any specializations from a recognized University (As per ANRF rules) with 2 years of experience in relevant field
The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab.
M.Sc. in Biophysics/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Chemistry/allied subjects with minimum 55% marks. Candidates with UGC-NET/GATE/PU PhD (Biophysics)/ other national entrance test conducted by Government of India will be preferred.
