    ABSTRACT
Total seventeen saponins previously isolated from roots of Pulsatilla koreana having cytotoxic activity against 4 different cancer cell line (A-549, SK-OV-3, SK-MEL-2, HCT15) were used for 2D QSAR using V-life Molecular design suit. Using multiple linear regression method against 4 different cell lines develops QSAR model. QSAR model was generated by using training set of 11 and test set of 6 molecules having correlation coefficient (r2), significant cross validated correlation coefficient (q2) and F-test (For statistical significance) is as given below  (A-549: r2- 0.9281, q2- 0.8691, F-test- 51.6079),  (SK-OV-3: r2- 0.9554, q2- 0.9184, F-test- 85.7357),  (SK-MEL-2: r2- 0.9160, q2- 0.8285, F-test- 43.6084),  (HCT15: r2- 0.9203, q2- 0.8357, F-test- 46.1887). In this QSAR study Alignment independent descriptors such as T_2_C_7, T_O_O_5 and physicochemical descriptors like Chain path count such as 6 chain count and Chi chain such as Chi 6 chain were most responsible descriptors for anticancer activity.

    ABSTRACT:
The Government of India through the Drug and Cosmetic act 1940 and rules 1945 has made stringent provisions regarding import, Manufacturing, Sale and Distribution of Cosmetics. These provisions mainly cover the licensing for the import, manufacturing of cosmetics and also the GMPs for the manufacturing of cosmetics. Also these guidelines have covered certain categories of cosmetics whose import and sale is prohibited by the Law. These guidelines have also listed the 28 cosmetics whose import is allowed only on to the conformance to the Indian standards. These guidelines have also covered the offences and penalties in case of contravention of the provisions of the Drug and Cosmetic Act 1940.

    ABSTRACT:
The oral route of drug delivery is typically considered the preferred and most patient-convenient means of drug administration. With many drugs the basic Goal of therapy is to achieve a steady-state blood or tissue level that is therapeutically effective and nontoxic for an extended period of time. Sustain release system are considered a wiser approach for the drugs with short half-lives and which require repeated dosing, they are easy to formulate and are irrespective of absorption process from gastrointestinal tract after oral administration. The basic objective of these dosage forms is to optimize the delivery of medications so as to achieve a measure of control on therapeutic effect in the face of uncertain fluctuations in the in vivo environment in which drug release takes place. The advances in the formulation technology of modified release dosage form with sustained release oral dosage form has been widely accepted approach as compared to conventional immediate release formulations of the same drug, over which it provides a prolong release of the drug over extended period of time there by giving the better patient compliance and enhanced bioavailability and resulting blood concentration-time profiles of drugs that otherwise suffer from few limitations.

    ABSTRACT:
Tablet coating is the key step involved in the manufacturing of tablets having controlled release, delayed release profiles. The tablet coating have number of advantages like masking odor, taste, color of the drug, providing physical and chemical protection to drug, Protecting drug from the gastric environment. 3 primary components of tablet coating are tablet properties, coating process and coating composition. Tablets are usually coated in horizontal rotating pan with coating solution is either directly poured or sprayed on to them. The amount of coating on the surface of a tablet is critical to the effectiveness of the oral dosage form. Recent trends in tablet coating focuses on overcoming disadvantage of solvent based coating. This article concerns with the coating process, equipments involved, coated tablets evaluation and specialized coating techniques.

    ABSTRACT:
In a pharmaceutical organization a quality control is a fundamental segment that refers to a process of striving to produce a product by a series of measures requiring an organized effort by entire company to eliminate or prevent error at any stage of production. Quality control deals with testing, sampling, specification, documentation, release procedure which ensure that all tests are actually carried out prior to release of material for sale or use. Until its quality judged to satisfactory. This article deals with quality control of parenteral preparation which have 4 basic area that are Sterility, Freedom form Pyrogens, Freedom from particulate matter and leakers. It gives details on each of these 4 Basic areas. The achievement of sterile, non pyrogenic and particulate free parenteral product provides a significant challenge to ingenuity and creativity of parenteral scientist and technologist.

    ABSTRACT
The present research work discusses the development of a UV spectrophotometric method for Dronedarone hydrochloride. Simple, accurate, cost efficient and reproducible spectrophotometric method has been developed for the estimation of Dronedarone hydrochloride in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage form. UV spectrophotometric method, which is based on measurement at maximum wavelength (λmax) at 290nm using methanol as a solvent. The percentage recovery of Dronedarone hydrochloride ranged from 98.48 to 98.96% in pharmaceutical dosage form. Beers law was obeyed in the concentration range of 2-30μg/ml having line equation y = 0.0397x - 0.0060 with correlation coefficient of 0.9998. Results of the analysis were validated statistically and by recovery study.

    Abstract:
The herbal medicine are in the great demand in the developed as well as developing countries for primary health care because of their large biological activities, higher safety margin and lesser cost. one of the common traditional herbal drug is Emblica officinalis, commonly known as Amla, is a member of a small genus Emblica (Euphorbiaceae). It grows in tropical and subtropical parts of China, India, Indonesia and the Malay Peninsula. All parts of the plant are used for medicinal purpose. The fresh (or) the dry fruit is used in traditional medicines for the treatment of diarrhoea, jaundice and inflammations. The pulp of the fruit is smeared on the head to dispel headache and dizziness Emblica officinalis leaves and fruit have been used for fever and inflammatory treatments by rural populations in its growing areas. The earlier study have demonstrated potent anti-microbial, adaptogenic, hepatoprotective, anti-tumour and anti-ulcerogenic activities in the fruits of Emblica officinalis. Leaf extracts have been shown to posses anti- inflammatory activity. vitamin C, tannins and flavanoids present in amla have very powerfull antioxidant activity. Due to rich in vitamin C amla is successfully use in the treatment of human scurvy.

    ABSTRACT:
The demand for mouth dissolving tablets has been growing during the last decade especially for elderly and children who have swallowing difficulties. Chlorpheniramine maleate is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) histamine H1 antagonist with antihistamine drug it is commonly used  in allergic reactions, hay fever, rhinitis, urticaria, and asthma. The main criteria for mouth dissolving tablets are to disintegrate or dissolve rapidly in oral cavity with saliva in 15sec to 60sec with need of water. The disintegrants used should fulfill the criteria by disintegrating the tablets in specified time limit.in the present investigation variety of super disintegrants Crospovidone, sodium starch glycolate, kyron t-314 , were selected and tablets were prepared by direct compression method in different concentration like 3%,6% and 8%. The prepared tablets were evaluated for weight variation, hardness, friability, in vitro disintegration time, wetting time, in vitro dissolution study, etc.formulation f-9 shows the lowest disintegration time (29sec) and wetting time (37sec). In vitro dissolutionstudies revealed that formulation F-9 containning 9% t-314  showed 98% drug release at the end of 10 min.
