    Abstract
To evaluate the anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity of methanolic extract of whole plant of Sida acuta in experimental animal models. Methanolic extract of whole plant of Sida acuta (MESA) (100, 200 and 400 mg/kg p.o.) was studied for its anti-inflammatory activity using Carrageenan induced rat paw edema animal model and analgesic activity at the same dose level using acetic acid induced writhing test and Hot plate analgesia in mice. The methanolic extract of whole plant of Sida acuta (MESA) (100, 200 and 400 mg/kg p.o.). The PI with indomethacin and Sida acuta in carrageenan induced paw edema  at the dose level 400 mg/kg were 60% and 52.5% at the end of 5 hr. In the acetic acid induced writhing test, the extract at the dose level 400 mg/kg showed 83.78% inhibition of writhing. In radiant heat tail- flick method the extract  at the dose 400 mg/kg showed reaction time 4.902 ± 0.545 (p<0.001). The methanolic extract possesses anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity.

    Introduction
Gene therapy by small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) hasbeen emerging as innovative nucleic acid medicines with increasing knowledge on the molecular mechanisms of endogenous RNA interference. Gene silencingis a promising tool for the treatment of numerous human diseases that cannot be cured by rational therapies. The primary success of siRNA applications depends on suitable vectors to deliver therapeutic genes.

  • EVALUATION OF HEPATOPROTECTIVE ACTIVITY OF FICUS RELIGIOSA ON RATS AGAINST CCL4 AND PARACETAMOL INDUCED HEPATOTOXICITY

    ABSTRACT
Ficus religiosawas investigated for its possible protective effect against paracetamol and CCl4-induced hepatic damage. IV administration of a sub-lethal dose of paracetamol (500 mg/kg) produced liver damage in rats as manifested by the rise in serum level of transaminases (AST and ALT). Ttreatment of rats with Ficus religiosa (200 mg/kg) prevented the paracetamol-induced rise in serum enzymes. The hepatotoxic dose of CCl4 (1.5 ml/kg; orally) also raised the serum AST and ALT levels. The same dose of Ficus religiosa (200 mg/kg) was able to prevent the CCl4-induced rise in serum enzymes. These results indicate that Ficus religiosa possesses hepatoprotective activity.

    Abstract
Antibiotics are chemical substances, either produced naturally by microorganisms or manufactured synthetically, that are lethal to other microorganisms. Antibiotic resistance (AR) describes the ability of a microorganism to be unaffected by (or resistant to) the effects of a particular antibiotic. A problem arises when a animal or person becomes infected with a disease-causing bacterium that harbors antibiotic resistance to the drug that would be the most suitable treatment for that infection.

India is a vast country of immense diversity.and for that the effectiveness of the antimicrobial was not same to all ,and the administration of them will either really cure or may act in opposite manner and will leads to the development os the antimicrobial resistance which is only due to the unaware use of the antibiotics.we had conducted the survey on some prescriptions of registered medicinal practitioner and find that there was an irrational use of antibiotic in our on community and this might be very serious as our survey is on the smallest level and what it may cause globally. So the use of antibiotic should be controlled.
