Banaras Hindu University is an internationally reputed temple of learning, situated in the holy city of Varanasi. This creative and innovative university was founded by the great nationalist leader, Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, in 1916, through close cooperation with great personalities like Dr Annie Besant, who viewed it as the University of India. Banaras Hindu University was established by the Parliamentary legislation-B.H.U. Act 1915.
Post : Project Research Scientist -I (Non- medical)
Applications are invited for one post of Project Research Scientist -I (Non- medical) in an ICMR- sponsored project entitled “Pediatric and adult patients based therapeutic developments targeting novel Mycobacterium tuberculosis signature proteins, Rv1509 and Rvl507A: A quest to deal with Drug Resistance” (P-14/0811).
Salary : Rs. 56,000/- per month + 20% HRA : 5% increment on initial emoluments after completing every two years
Essential Qualifications : First-class Master's degree, including the integrated Master's degree in Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Zoology / Life Sciences or allied areas. Additionally, candidates should have qualified NET / GATE.
Desirable Qualifications : Candidate having experience with cloning and protein purification and microbial handling will be preferred.
Age Limit : The upper age limit is 35 years, with a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/Physically I Handicapped/Female candidates.
Note : The post is purely temporary and co- terminus with the project. The duration of the project will be maximum for three years.
