Central University of Kashmir (formerly known as the Central University of Jammu and Kashmir) was established in March 2009 with the appointment and joining of Prof. Abdul Wahid Qureshi , a noted academician and the former Vice Chancellor of University of Kashmir, as the First Vice Chancellor. The administrative office setup at 101, Baghi-Hyder, Hyderpora in May, 2009 started functioning with a skelton staff engaged on deputation/ contract basis.

ABSTRACT
Purpose: To study the adverse drug reactions (ADR’s) reported from Dermatology ward in SMHS hospital of Srinagar. The adverse drug reactions were analyzed by Naranjo’s causality assessment scale and the outcomes were studied.

Methods: This observational and cross-sectional study was conducted for one month of July 2018 in an inpatient setting of Dermatology ward of SMHS hospital. The data collection was done only in Dermatology ward. Patients of all age groups and either sex were included in this study. The adverse drug reactions were assessed for their causality by performing the Naranjo’s algorithm scale. The outcomes were studied.

This year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the GPAT examinations on January 28, and the admit card is available to download from January 7, 2019. GPAT registration will start from 1st Nov, 2018. The results for GPAT will be declared on February 10, 2019.

The duration of the exam was three hours and a total of 125 questions of four marks each were asked in the GPAT. There was negative marking as well. A total of 841 institutions took part in GPAT, offering about 24,096 seats for candidates. Scholarships and other financial assistance in the field of pharmacy are also provided on the basis of GPAT score.
