Ramanbhai Patel College of Pharmacy is a constituent Institute of Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT). RPCP was established in the year 2004 with a view to promote excellence in Pharmacy Education and to prepare young talent to meet the challenges of Industrial Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice. Sana College of Pharmacy, Kodad, Suryapet was established in 2007. It runs B. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Analysis) courses. It is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad and recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Government of India has declared NIPER as an 'Institute of National Importance'. It is an autonomous body set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. The Institute is conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and related areas not only within the country, but also to the countries in South East Asia, South Asia and Africa. NIPER is a member of Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities.

Gujarat State Pharmacy Council (GSPC) is a statutory body constituted by the Government of Gujarat under the Pharmacy Act of 1948, consisting of six members elected by registered pharmacists amongst themselves, five members nominated by The Government of Gujarat, three Ex-Officio members and one member elected by Gujarat Medical Council.
