Openings for Pharma Candidates under Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India, NIPER

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Guwahati (NIPER-G) is an autonomous institute of National importance and the first national pharma institute in NE India set up by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India by an act of parliament, to impart high quality Education & Research in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences. 

The Institute intends to fill the following Project positions through Online/Physical interviews for the “Technical Resource Hub under the Centre for Evidence- Based Guidelines” sponsored by the Department of Health Research (DHR), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, with a project duration of 12 months (1Year).

Project Scientist-III* (01 post)
Fellowship : Rs. 78,000 + HRA (as admissible)
Project : Technical Resource Hub under the Centre for Evidence-Based Guidelines. 
Sponsoring Agency : Department of Health Research (DHR), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. 
Duration : The project is initially for the duration of 12 months, and it can be further extended subject to performance.

Essential : Ph.D. in Health Sciences with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree (M.Pharm./M.S./M.Sc./M.D.) in Pharmacy Practice, Clinical Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacology, or Clinical Epidemiology with a very good academic record throughout with 2 years of Teaching/Research/Industrial experience with published works of high quality.
Desirable : The candidate should have expertise in Evidence Synthesis, Health Systems Research, Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Meta- research, Clinical Research, and Biostatistics. Candidate should have demonstrated adequate experience of independent research in terms of guidance of Masters’ students, execution and/or recipients of sponsored/EMR projects, and publications in SCI journals.
Max. Age Limit : 45 years 
*Note : In addition to their research duties, the Project Scientist-III will be assigned teaching responsibilities commensurate with an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice.


Scientist-II (01 post)
Fellowship : Rs. 67,000 + HRA (as admissible)
Project : Technical Resource Hub under the Centre for Evidence-Based Guidelines.
Sponsoring Agency : Department of Health Research (DHR), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. 
Duration : The project is initially for the duration of 12 months, and it can be further extended subject to performance.

Essential : Post Graduate Degree in Pharmacy Practice/ Clinical Pharmacy / Clinical Pharmacology / Clinical Epidemiology/ Public Health / Biostatistics / Health Economics / Health Technology Assessment or Pharm.D with 3 years of Teaching/Research/Industrial experience. 
OR 
Ph.D. in Pharmacy Practice/ Clinical Pharmacy/ Clinical Pharmacology/ Clinical Epidemiology/ Public Health/ Biostatistics/ Health Economics/ Health Technology Assessment.
Desirable : Preference will be given to the candidate with : 
• Experience in conducting systematic reviews, meta-analysis, and network meta-analysis. 
• Hands-on experience in conducting meta- analysis using RevMan, CMA, STATA, R Programming, and Python. 
• Expertise in assessing the quality of evidence using GRADE approach. 
• Minimum two publications on systematic review and meta-analysis as first or corresponding author in SCI journals.
Max. Age Limit : 40 years


Scientist-I (01 post)
Fellowship : Rs. 56,000 + HRA (as admissible)
Project : Technical Resource Hub under the Centre for Evidence-Based Guidelines.
Sponsoring Agency : Department of Health Research (DHR), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. 
Duration : The project is initially for the duration of 12 months, and it can be further extended subject to performance.

Essential : Post Graduate Degree in Pharmacy Practice/ Clinical Pharmacy/ Clinical Pharmacology/ Clinical Epidemiology/ Health Economics/ Health Technology Assessment or Pharm.D.
Desirable : Preference will be given to the candidates with : 
•  Experience in conducting systematic reviews, meta-analysis, and network meta-analysis. 
•  Hands-on experience in conducting meta- analysis using RevMan, CMA, STATA, R Programming, and Python. 
•  Minimum one publication on systematic review and meta-analysis as first author in SCI journals
Max. Age Limit : 35 years

Office Assistant (01 post)
Fellowship : Rs. 23,082/- (Consolidated)
Project : Technical Resource Hub under the Centre for Evidence-Based Guidelines.
Sponsoring Agency : Department of Health Research (DHR), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. 
Duration : The project is initially for the duration of 12 months, and it can be further extended subject to performance.

Essential : Graduate Degree in Health Sciences/ Life Sciences.
Desirable : Preference will be given to the candidate with experience of working in a research project in a government institution.
Max. Age Limit : 30 years

General Instructions 
1. Candidates of Indian Nationality can only apply for these posts. 
2. The interviews will be conducted in a hybrid mode (both online and physical interviews) 
3. Interested candidates are invited to apply using the prescribed format only, available on the website (niperguwahati.ac.in) from 01.04.2025 to 15.04.2025. It is mandatory to fill the application online and no other form of application will be entertained. Candidates are requested to arrange the soft copies of all the required documents before filling the application. 4. Candidates should read carefully the requisite minimum essential qualifications, age and eligibility, experience criteria etc. laid down in the advertisement before applying for the above post. Since all the applications will be screened on the basis of data submitted by the candidate in the online application form, the candidates must satisfy themselves of the suitability for the position to which they are applying. If at any stage during the recruitment and selection process, it is found that candidates have furnished false or wrong information, their candidature will be rejected. 
5. Application once submitted cannot be altered / resubmitted, under any circumstances. Further, no request with respect to making changes in any data/ particular entered by the candidate in the application will be entertained, once the application is submitted successfully by email. 
6. Incomplete application or those without relevant supporting documents (Self-attested copies of Date of birth/Degrees/ Certificates/ Mark sheets/Experience Certificates/documents, etc.) will be rejected. 
7. On the recommendation of the Screening/Selection Committee, the competent authority may relax all or any of the requirements related to age and experience in exceptionally meritorious cases. 

8. Fulfilment of qualifications and experience is an essential requirement. As stated, the Institute is free to set the benchmark and only call the eligible candidates for the online interview. Further, NIPER Guwahati also reserves the right NOT to fill any of the post advertised, in the event or exigency so decided. 
9. Intimations will be sent only by E-mail/host on the website as per the details mentioned in the Application form. 
10. In case any dispute arises on account of interpretation of clauses in any version of this Advertisement other than English, the English version available on the NIPER-G Website shall prevail. 
11. CANVASSING IN ANY FORM MAY LEAD TO CANCELLATION OF THE CANDIDATURE. 
12. All appointments shall be on contract for One Year and may be extended further based on the performance of the candidate as well as availability of the funds. The appointments are against the temporary project positions and will not continue in any circumstances beyond the duration of the said project. Any subsequent contract in the project or another project will be fresh appointment. The appointment in the outside funded project does not give project staff any claim whatsoever for appointment/regularization against any Institute post. 
13. Age will be calculated as on the last date of application i.e., 15.04.2025. 
14. List of the Shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the Institute website. 
15. Candidates are suggested to attend the interview physically. In-case if any candidates are unable to attend physically, such candidates may attend online interview, the link for the same will be sent to the shortlisted candidates individually, a day before the interview.
