Bioinformatics

Post Graduate Degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, allied subjects with very good academic record throughout. Preference will be given to candidates with GATE, NET qualification and a proven track record of application of AI tools in biological, chemical systems. Relaxation norms of the government of India will be duly followed in short listing of the candidates.

M.Sc Bioinformatics/ Computational Biology; Strong knowledge of programming languages. Strong hands-on experience with the Linux operating system, including shell scripting and pipeline automation. Knowledge of database design and development.

Ph.D Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacoinformatics, Bioinformatics or related area. Candidate must have at least one research paper in a science citation indexed journal. Candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis in the above subjects will also be eligible along with proof of submission to apply. 

Master degree M.Tech, M.Sc, MS in Bioinformatics or Biotechnology, Life Science with specialization in Bioinformatics from a recognized University. At least one year experience after M.Tech, MS Degree or 3 years after M.Sc degree in the field of bioinformatics as evident from publications in scientific journals of high international repute.

5 years in a managerial position and has handled R&D projects independently viz. PI or Co-PI of Scientific studies, Head of Research Groups, Centres, Institutes, Laboratories, including experience in Child Health Research

Knowledge and research Experience in enzymes involved in the processing of Nucleic Acids. Bioinformatics Centre for Computational Drug Discovery- BIC at Regional Centre for Biotechnology; Post-Graduate Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics with NET qualification or Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET qualification

Candidates having graduate degree in Veterinary Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Biomedical Science. 

M.Sc, B.Tech in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Agricultural Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, Botany. Knowledge of molecular biology techniques, Metabolite analysis. 

Ph.D Genomics, Bioinformatics, life sciences OR equivalent degree OR MSc, M.Tech Bioinformatics, Human genetics degree from a recognized University or equivalent with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed journal.
