The Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar, was established on October 20,1995 by an Act of the Legislature of the State of Haryana with the objectives 'to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education with focus on new frontiers of technology, pharmacy, environmental studies, non-conventional energy sources and management studies and also to achieve excellence in these and connected fields'. It was formally inaugurated on November 1, 1995. It is named after Guru Jambheshwar Ji Maharaj, a saint environmentalist of 15th century. Keeping in view the nature of courses offered at the university and the mandate for which it had been established the name of the university has been changed as Guru Jambheshwar university of Science & Technology.

The National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) - Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Bangalore, a premier research Centre carrying out frontier research in the biological sciences. NCBS has set up a facility for the development and application of electron microcopy (EM) technology for biology related research. These include EM instrumentation as well as sample preparation facilities.

Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), Delhi, a premier Institute of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), is engaged in important Biomedical Research activities in the areas relevant to Armed Forces. The Institute invites applications from young and meritorious Indian nationals, who desire to pursue defence related research as Research Associates or Junior Research Fellows. Selection will be made on the basis of interview to be held at INMAS.

CSIR - Institute of Microbial Technology, Sector-39/A, Chandigarh intends to engage Project Assistant, JRF (Project) on purely temporary basis on contract under DBT, DST, CSIR & Industry sponsored project at IMTECH. Besides following positions, a General Panel of Project Assistants, JRF (Project) & Research Intern will be finalized from amongst candidates for future requirements, which will be valid for one year or till finalization afresh panel.
