The Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) Anantapuramu Local Branch, celebrated the World Pharmacists Day 2018 (Pharmacists are your medicines experts) in collaboration with Three Pharmacy Institutions of the region; Raghavendra Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (RIPER); University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Sri Krishnadevaraya University; and College of Pharmaceutical Science; Oil Technological Pharmaceutical Research Institute, JNT University Anantapur, in association with Chemists and Druggists Association of Anantapur District.
The celebrations started with a rally in Anantapur Town, with the core message of this year World Pharmacists Day “Pharmacists are your medicines experts” as announced by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP); in which students, faculty members, community and hospital pharmacists of the region participated actively.
In IPA Anantapuramu Branch office, at Raghavendra Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (RIPER); WPD was celebrated through lectures and talks my eminent professionals, teachers and practitioners of pharmacy fraternity towards budding pharmacists regarding the significance of pharmacist’s services in healthcare team as member and a care giver of public.
The distinguished persons who addresses the gathering were Dr. Y. Padmanabha Reddy (Immediate past president–IPA Anantapuramu Branch/Prof & Principal-RIPER), Prof. Chakka Gopinath (Principal-OTPRI, JNT University Anantapur), Dr. P. Ramalingam (President – IPA Anantapuramu Branch), Dr. KVSN Gupta (Deputy Director, Drugs Control Administration, Govt of Andhra Pradesh), Sri B. Suresh Krishna (Assistant Director, Drugs Control Administration, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh) and University Nominees Prof. Dr. K. Sudhakar Babu (Registrar-Sri Krishnadevaraya University) and Prof. Dr. K. Prahalada Rao (Rector-JNT University Anantapur); and Sri Ranga Reddy (Nominee from Anantapuramu Chemists and Druggists Association).
The Chemists and Druggists Association Anantapuramu, honoured the excellent and outstanding performance and contributions of pharmacy professionals in the area of teaching and practice, of the region by conferring certificate of merit and memento.
