National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI), Mohali, is an autonomous R&D Institute under Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. The institute is establishing a state of art facility in the area of genomics (ABI 3730xl, RT-PCR, DNA analyzer, bioanalyzer, liquid handling system, automated DNA extraction system, LCM, Mass-Array (sequenom), etc), proteomics (MALDI-TOF-TOF, Q-TOF, nano-LC, HPLC, GCMS-MS, HP-TLC, UPLC, etc.), high performance computing facility, and food science (NIR, FTIR, SEM, etc.).The institute carries out cutting edge research at the interface of agricultural biotechnology, bioinformatics, food processing, and nutritional sciences.

NABI is looking for an experienced Chemical Researcher as per the terms and conditions detailed below:-
1. Name of the position: Project Scientist.
2. Number of Position: One (01).
3. Method of recruitment: Walk in Interview.
4. Date of walk in interview: 21/09/2011.
5. Educational Qualifications:
Essential: M.Sc (Chemistry/Biochemistry/Nutrition/Food Sciences) with at-least 03 years of research experience in Natural Products and Nutritional Chemistry with Research publications in Indexed journals with a total impact factor of at-least 10.
Desirable: Ph.D in analytical organic chemistry/bio-chemistry/ natural products/nutrition/food sciences.
Research Experience in Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry demonstrated by High Quality Publications.
Competence to Handle and operate equipment such as GC-MS/MS, HPLC-MS, UHPLC-TOF/TOF, HPTLC etc.
6. Remuneration: Consolidated ` 35,000/pm. Yearly Increment @ 10%.
7. Leave: 12 days per annum.
8. Medical: Medical Attendance for self as per NABI Rules.
9. Tenure of employment: Two Years from the date of joining duties at NABI, extendable to a maximum period of 5 years subject to yearly assessment review.
10. Termination: One month’s notice by either party. Engagement shall stand terminated automatically at the end of one year if not renewed/extended by NABI. No extension shall be given beyond Five years from the date of initial appointment, under any circumstance.
