Job Description:
Reports to:Head, Decision Support and Insights Generation
Job Purpose:
Support Global Pricing & Market Access team by providing information and analyses on market prices of Novartis and competitor products, in context of other quantitative data (sales & volume) and pricing & reimbursement regulations, and utilizing & maintaining key databases and models.
Major Accountabilities (Describe the main results of the job to be achieved )
• Provide relevant data, analyses and reports on pricing & reimbursement of Novartis and competitor products for use by global stakeholders.
• Support the GPMA Team by interrogating internal pricing databases (Atlantis, Phoenix, Paris), IMS PADDS and IMS pricing databases.
• Running simple launch sequence models, and other economic modeling and analyses as required.
• Get involved in projects on departmental systems, global and regional pricing issues, as well as brand / therapeutic class related issues.
• Develop expertise / know-how on pricing opportunities and challenges related to dose range, formulation, packaging, expansion of indications, patent expiry.
• Contribute to our knowledge database through maintaining information on payer systems across the world; support Market Access/Pricing Directors in the development of pricing & reimbursement dossiers on the basis of quantitative analyses and requirements of payers.
• Collaborate closely with GPMA colleagues, countries and Global functions to achieve objectives

Candidate Profile:
Ideal Background (State the minimum and desirable education and experience level)
Education: Economic education, with MBA and/or scientific education (PhD or MD) an asset.
Languages: English fluent (written/spoken). Any further language a plus
Experience: Experience with IMS and other quantitative datasets.
Experience in economic and financial modelling, in use and maintenance of databases and preparation of reports. Expertise in Pricing & Reimbursement regulations a plus
