Applications are invited from interested candidates for the post of Research Associate in a time bound research project sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) for a temporary period purely on contractual basis as per the following details

Project Title : DBT-BUILDER -University of Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani, Pilani Campus Interdisciplinary Life Science Programme for Advanced Research and Education in Epigenetics and Genome editing
Funding Agency : Department of Biotechnology (DBT)
Principal Investigator (PI) : Prof. Deepak Chitkara, Department of Pharmacy
Project Tenure : 1.5 Year

Job Description :
RA will Conduct high-quality independent research in the field of CRISPR gene editing, and epigenetics. Design and execute experiments using cell culture systems and animal models. Perform high-throughput techniques such as RNA sequencing, ribosome profiling, CLIP-seq, and flow cytometry.
Analyze complex datasets, with a focus on gene regulation in diabetes. Collaborate with team members and contribute to publications in high-impact scientific journals.

Qualification : Ph.D. in pharmacy or biological sciences or equivalent from a recognized University. Candidate with experience in the nanoformulations, cell culture studies and animal handling will be preferred. Those who have submitted their PhD thesis and are awaiting award of the degree are also eligible to apply. However, such candidates, if selected, will be offered lower fellowship amount till they qualify the eligible degree.

Upper Age Limit : Age not exceeding 40 years for Male Candidates and 45 Years for Female Candidates as of the date of the interview

Fellowship : Rs. 58,000 + HRA (as admissible)
