Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali (Punjab), an autonomous institution of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has been established under the umbrella of NANO MISSION, initiated by DST to boost research and development in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in India. INST started its activities on 3rd January 2013, the date on which its first Director was appointed. The institute is currently operating from its transit campus at Habitat Centre, Sector-64, Phase-X, Mohali, Punjab.

Post : Junior Research Fellow

Title of the Research Project: Characterization and Toxicity Assessment of Graphene Oxide Nanoparticles in in-vitro and in-vivo Systems and Exploring its Potential as an Anti-tumour Agent.

Qualification Essential:
1. Masters in Zoology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Pharmacy/ Life Science or Related Area 2. Qualified GATE/GPAT/CSIR or UGC-NET/ ICMR-JRF/ ICAR-NET/ DBT-JRF/ DSTINSPIRE.

Desirable: Experience in toxicology research, cell and tissue culture and animal handling will be preferred.

Age limit: Must not be over 28 years as on 14th September, 2019 which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of government of India.

Salary: Rs. 31000/- (consolidated) per month.

Duration: Initially for six months and may be extended to one year based on the performance of the candidate and availability of funds.

General Terms and Conditions: The position is purely temporary and on contractual basis. The position is co-terminus with the project. Candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program of INST provided they satisfy eligibility criteria. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.
