Applications from Indian/Foreign Citizens are invited for Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) positions under the project RIN4002-SBS-Basic Research in the Schools of Biological Sciences, NISER, Bhubaneswar, funded by the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India.
Essential Qualifications : PhD degree in the relevant area of life sciences/Molecular Biology/Genetics/Genomics/ Bioinformatics/Life Sciences / Zoology / Biotechnology etc.
Research Area : Immunology / Cancer Biology
Desirable : PhD submitted or awarded
Laboratory Description : Cellular and Immunological investigation towards altered host cell responses
Fellowship : As per existing rules of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Govt. of India. The positions are purely temporary, and the appointment is till 31st March, 2026& coterminous with the project. HRA will be paid if accommodation is not available on campus, and the Contingency grant will be spent as per the rules.
RA-I : Candidates successfully defended their thesis and have less than one year of experience after the award of PhD degree; Monthly fellowship: 58,000/- INR
RA-II : Candidates with one or less than two years of experience after award of PhD degree; Monthly fellowship: 61,000/- INR
RA-III : Candidates with 2-3 years of experience after award of PhD degree; Monthly fellowship: 67,000/- INR
HOW TO APPLY

1. A cover letter that mentions the specific research area and the reason for your interest in joining the research group.
2. A detailed academic CV, list of publications, relevant experience certificate(s), if any, and names of two academic referees.
3. A statement of research interests and a brief project proposal related to ongoing work in the PI’s lab.
4. A duly filled-in application form is given on pages 3-4 of this advertisement, along with copies of all the Educational Certificates.
5. Two letters of reference
The candidates who are short-listed based on their CV, research statement, and letters of reference could be interviewed either in person or through video-conferencing before the final selection is made. The position is available and will be filled immediately as and when we find suitable candidates. The last date of the application is April 21 st 2025.
