Tripura University invites online applications from the eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the following vacant teaching positions of Professor, in the Academic Pay Level 14 as per 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix in various departments of the University.

General Instructions, Essential Information and Clarifications
1. Applications through any other mode (e.g. hard copies or email etc.) except Samarth Portal shall not be entertained.
2. The eligibility criteria for all posts shall be in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2018 and as amended from time to time by UGC & MoE. Depending on the Subject, the eligibility criteria prescribed by other appropriate regulatory bodies, such as NCTE (School of Education, Physical Education), AICTE (all Engineering and Technology, Business Management, Pharmacy, Fine Arts), Pharmacy Council, etc. will also be followed.
3. The eligibility of the candidates has to be fulfilled on or before the last date of submission of application.
4. Incomplete application will not be entertained and shall be rejected; no further correspondence will be made in this regard.
5. Candidates already in employment shall apply through proper channel (and submit formal ‘No Objection Certificate' during interview, if called for).
6. Mere fulfilling of essential qualifications does not entail a candidate to be called for interview. The University reserves the right to constitute its own screening procedure for short-listing the candidates. Only short-listed candidates shall be called for interview. The University also reserves the right to reject the candidature of the candidate at any stage of recruitment/selection process or during the tenure of service on grounds of submission of false, tampered, fabricated data/certificate/testimonials or suppression of any information.
7. Candidates intending to apply for more than one post should submit separate online application form.
8. Candidate intending to apply in multiple categories of posts would have to pay the requisite application fees separately as specified against that particular category of post.
9. Reservation Policy shall be followed for candidates belonging to the category of EWS, SCs, STs, OBCs and PwBDs as per the latest instructions of UGC and MoE, Govt, of India. Candidates willing to be considered against any reserved category should select the appropriate category column in the application form and furnish requisite documentary proof. Any representation for change of category status after submission of application will not be considered under any circumstances. Relaxation of marks shall be given to reserved category candidates as per norms.
10. Application fee once paid will NOT be refunded and also cannot be adjusted for any other post.
11. The University reserves the right to postpone/cancel this recruitment process for any/all the posts without assigning any reason. The University also reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts to be filled.
12. Canvassing in any form in favour of candidature both direct and indirect is strictly prohibited. Violation of this code of conduct will be treated as misconduct and will be brought to the notice of selection committee concerned. The University reserves the right to cancel candidature of such candidates at any point of time if found canvassing.
13. Candidates awarded degrees by Foreign Universities are required to submit/upload Equivalence Certificate issued by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi on the date of submission of application form. The University reserves the right to require Equivalence Certificate for various degrees from any of the candidates.
14. Applications for the posts reserved for OBC/SC/ST/PWBD & EWS shall be supported by valid/updated certificate in a Govt, of Lidia (GOI) prescribed format duly issued by the competent authority.
15. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending interview.
16. In case of reserved posts, a relaxation of 5% shall be allowed at the Bachelor's as well as at the Master's level for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Other Backward Classes (OBC) (Non-creamy Layer) / Different!y-abled ((a) Blindness and low vision; (b) Deaf and Hard of Hearing; (c) Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid-attack victims and muscular dystrophy; (d) Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness; Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under (a) to (d) including deaf-blindness) for the purpose of eligibility and assessing good academic record for direct recruitment. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based only on the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedure.
19. Experience Certificate: All claims of experience shall be supported by an Experience Certificate which should be clear and complete in all respects in the organization's letter-head, bear the date of issue, specific period of work, name and designation of issuing authority along with signature and official seal.
20. The decision of Tripura University in any matters related to teaching/research/post¬doctoral/professional experience shall be final.
21. In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision and/or interpretation of the University shall be final.
22. Counting of past experience will be decided strictly in accordance with the Govt, of India / UGC guidelines issued from time to time.
23. Any dispute, suit or legal proceeding against the University shall be subject to Hon'ble High Court of Tripura.
