Institute of Life Sciences Opportunity for Research Scientist Post - Salary Rs. 80,400 per month

Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from the Indian Nationals to join the following position sanctioned under ICMR-funded project.

Post : Project Research Scientist-II (Non-medical) (01 Position)

Project Title : Targeting Malaria Parasite Heme Synthesis – A New Intervention Strategy for Malaria Transmission, Liver stage Prophylaxis and Relapse

Duration of the Project : 22 months

Project Investigator : Dr. V. Arun Nagaraj

Fellowship : Rs. 67,000/- + @20% HRA = Rs. 80,400/- per month

Eligibility : Ph. D. in Biotechnology / Life Sciences or any of the allied subjects. Research experience in cell culture techniques, transfections, and biochemistry and molecular biology experiments is required. Candidates with at least one first author research paper in peer-reviewed journal will be preferred. Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis and are waiting for defense/viva voce may also apply. For such candidates, the fellowship amount will be equivalent to that of SRF until the successful completion of the defense/viva voce.

Age Limit : 35 years as on 05.05.2025. Age relaxation will be given as per the rules of Govt. of India.
