National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Guwahati is an autonomous institute of National importance and the first national pharma institute in NE India set up by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India by an act of parliament, to impart high quality Education & Research in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The Institute intents to fill the following Project positions in various sponsored projects through Online interviews.
Project Associate-I
Salary : (i) Rs. 31,000/- plus 16% HRA for scholars who are selected through (a) National eligibility tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through national level examinations conducted by central government Departments and their agencies and Institutions or, (ii) Rs. 25,000/- plus 16% HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above

Qualifications and Experience : Essential: Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Physics, Nanotechnology, or B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical, Material Science and Chemical Engineering. The candidate having experience in biosensors, material development, and characterization will be given preference.

Laboratory Assistant
Salary : Rs. 20,000/- plus 16% HRA
Duration : 2 Years

Qualifications and Experience : Essential: The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (B.Sc./ B.Pharm.) in Science from a Govt. recognized/ accredited University/ Institute with a minimum of 55% marks. Or, The candidate must have a 3-year Diploma in Engineering and Technology from a Govt. recognized/ accredited University/ Institute with a minimum of 55% marks. Candidates must have at least one subject of Chemistry in their coursework.
Desirable : Candidates with experience in chemical handling, educational institutes, and pharmaceutical industries will be given preference.
Max. Age limit : 50 years on the last date of application, with relaxation to SC/ST/OBC candidates, physically handicapped, and women applicants as Per Government of India norms.
Research Associate-III
Salary : Rs. 54,000/- + 16 % HRA (if applicable)

Qualifications and Experience : Essential: Ph. D in Medicinal Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Equivalent or having 3 years of research, teaching experience after post-graduation in M.Sc. / M.Pharm. in Medicinal Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Chemistry with minimum 60% marks and at least one research publication in SCI indexed Journal. Desirable: Required to perform drug design, molecular modelling, and organic synthesis. Candidates having additional experience with quantum chemistry and chemoinformatics software is preferable. Good oral, written, communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and in a team of scholars as per project requirements.

Desirable: Required to perform drug design, molecular modelling, and organic synthesis. Good oral, written, communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and in a team of scholars as per project requirements.

Junior Research Fellow - 2

Desirable: Experience in molecular modelling software (proprietary/opensource), basic python/shell programming skills and experience with GUI development. Good basic knowledge of medicinal chemistry and pharmacology principles, experience with different computer operating systems (e.g. Linux, and Windows), software installation, and troubleshooting. Good oral, written, communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and in a team of scholars as per project requirements.

General Instructions
1. Candidates of Indian Nationality can only apply for these posts.

10. CANVASSING IN ANY FORM MAY LEAD TO CANCELLATION OF THE CANDIDATE.
11. All appointments shall be on contract of one year or less if the project is terminated earlier. The appointments are against the temporary project positions and will not continue in any circumstances beyond the duration of the said project. Any subsequent contract in the project or another project will be fresh appointment. The appointment in the outside funded project does not give project staff any claim whatsoever for appointment/regularization against any Institute post.
12. Age will be calculated as on the last date of application i.e. 22.11.2022.
13. List of the Shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the Institute website.
