Job for M.Pharm, M.S Pharm as JRF at Birla Institute of Technology

Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra is a Deemed University under Sec. 3 of the U.G.C. Act 1956. The Board of Governors is responsible for the main functions and overall supervision of activities. It comprises representatives of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the U.G.C., the State Government, The Chancellor, the AICTE, The Hindustan Charity Trust and the Institute Faculty. Shri C.K. Birla is the Chairman of the Board of Governors while the Governor of the state of Jharkhand officiates as the Institute's Chancellor.  There's a Technical Council that decides the academic policy of the Institute.

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) funded research project with following details.

Duration of the project :  3 Years
Number of Positions : I

Essential qualifications : For JRF: M. Pharm./M.S. (Pharm.) in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Biotechnology/ M. Tech./ M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Life Sciences or allied subjects with at least 60% marks with NET/GATE or other national level qualified examination.
For other than JRF (Project Associate I) : M. Pharm./M.S. (Pharm.) in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Biotechnology/ M. Tech./ M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Life Sciences or allied subjects with at least 60% marks
Desirable : Prior work experience in molecular biology domain such as Cloning, expression & purification of proteins is highly desirable. Research experience in aptamer isolation using SELEX and development of biosensors will be preferred. Candidate is also expected to work for designing & selection of aptamers using in-silico computational method. Preference will be given to NET/GATE or other national level examination qualified candidate.


Fellowship
(i) For JRF: Rs. 37,000/- + 16% liRA per month (First two years) and Rs. 42,000 - + 16% HRA per month (Third year)
(ii) For other than JRF (Project Associate I): Rs. 25,000/- + 16% HRA per month (First two years) and Rs. 28,000/- + 16% HRA per month (Third year)

Terms and Conditions 
i) The decision of the selection committee will be final.
ii) The appointment of the candidate will be governed by the terms and conditions of the Institute/funding agency particularly applicable to the said project as and when required.
iii) The post is purely temporary in nature and subjected to availability of funds.
iv) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
