Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI) was set up by a voluntary organization called 'Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Society Trust'. Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah (4th September 1893 - 25th September 1956) was a great physician, freedom fighter and philanthropist of Assam. In 1958 at a public meeting in Guwahati, a decision was taken to set up a cancer hospital at Guwahati to commemorate the memory of Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah. Late Debendra Nath Sarma was the Founder President and Late Dr. Kanak Chandra Borooah, illustrious brother of Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah was the Founder Secretary. Late Bimala Prasad Chaliha, Mahendra Mohan Choudhury, Bishnuram Medhi, Dr. Ghanashyam Das, Dr Birendra Nath Choudhury and many others worked relentlessly for the development of the Institute since its inception.

Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati is hiring following staff on contractual basis for Dr Reddy’s Laboratories supported trial “A phase 4. multicenter, non-comparative, open-iabel. two cohort study evaluating the safety and efficacy of intravenously administered toripalimab in the treatment of Indian patients with recurrent or metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma".
Number of post : 01(one)
Salary : Rs. 25,000/- per month (consolidated)
Qualification : Graduation in Science (B.Pharm, Life Sciences, Biotech, Zoology, Botany, etc.)
Duration : Initial appointment will be for 3 months
Interested eligible candidates may report for walk-in-interview with complete bio-data highlighting educational qualification, experience, training, etc. (supported by copies of certificates and testimonials) before the Selection Committee on 29.04.2024 (Tuesday) [Time : 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM] in the Power Grid Building of the Institute.
The decision of the Institute as to eligibility or otherwise of a candidate will be final.
Selected candidate / appointee will not have any claim for regular appointment at BBCI.
