The Institute for Stem Cell Science & Regenerative Medicine, Bangalore is an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. Post : Project Assistant

The DBT-Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine is an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India invites applications for the post of Project Assistant in the laboratory of Dr. Srinivasarao Repudi, Assistant Investigator (instem.res.in/faculty/srinivas) at DBT inStem.

Qualifications : B.E / B.Tech, M.Sc in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Stem Cell Biology, and Neurobiology / Neuroscience with a minimum of 60% marks. Prior research experience in Biochemistry, Cell & Molecular Biology, and Neurobiology are preferred.
Job Responsibilities : Dr. Srinivasarao Repudi’s lab at DBT-inStem is under the theme of Modelling Neurodevelopment and Disease. We use primary cultures and human brain organoids which are either generated from CRISPR-edited Embryonic Stem Cells or patient-derived iPSCs to dissect the cellular and molecular mechanisms leading to neurodevelopmental defects that are associated with single gene mutations. Students having prior experience in cell culture and molecular biology techniques are highly encouraged to apply with a promising responsibility of working on the above aspects.
Pay Scale : As per Govt. norms based on experience and qualification.
