Maharashtra Civil Services Common Preliminary Examination for Food and Drug Administration

Maharashtra Public Service Commission is an Autonomous Body constituted and set up under Article 315 of the Constitution of India to discharge the duties and functions as assigned under Article 320 of the Constitution. The Commission accordingly recommends suitable candidates for the various posts under the Government and advises Government on various service matters like formulation of recruitment rules, on promotions, transfers, and disciplinary proceedings, etc.

Eligibility Criteria
• Degree, Master's Degree or Doctorate from a recognized University in Food Technology or Dairy Technology or Biotechnology or Oil Technology or Agriculture or Veterinary Science or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Chemistry or Medicine.
• Equivalent or recognized qualification notified by the Food Authority with the approval of the Central Government.
• Knowledge of Marathi language required.
• Candidates who have appeared in the final year examination of the degree will be eligible for admission to the preliminary examination. But if qualified for admission to the main examination, it will be mandatory to pass the degree examination till the last date of submission of necessary information and examination fee in the prescribed manner for admission to the main examination.
• A degree holder requiring internship or practical work experience in a workshop should have fulfilled the condition regarding educational qualification by the prescribed date of receipt of information/application for main examination.


Selection Process :-
The qualification/eligibility conditions mentioned in the advertisement are minimum and candidate will not be eligible for recommendation for possessing minimum qualification. 7.2 The entire process regarding service recruitment will be carried out as per the provisions of the entry rules of the concerned cadre/post and the amendments made by the Government from time to time, the prevailing policy of the Government regarding reservation and the provisions of the Commission's Rules of Procedure. 7. 3 Objective multiple choice format exam in State Services Main Examination will be conducted in computer system based mode.

Payment of Examination Fee:-
Examination Fee (Rs.) :
(One) Amagas Rs. 394/-
(Two) Backward Class/ Handicapped/ Orphan/ Handicapped - Rs. 294/-
(iii) In addition to the above examination fees, bank charges and taxes payable thereon shall be additional.
(iv) Examination fee is non-refundable.
After clicking on the 'Submit and Pay fees' button available after completion of the application submission stages or in front of the advertisement/post/examination where the current status of 'Fees not Paid' is written in the list of categories/examinations applied for under 'My Account' on the home page. The exam fee can be paid by clicking on the 'Pay Now' link.
Payment of examination fee can be made in following two ways:- (One) Online mode :-
(1) Examination fee can be paid through credit card, debit card or net banking through any payment gateway provided by State Bank of India as well as through the system.
(2) While paying the examination fee, after deducting the amount of examination fee from the bank account, one should not log out from the relevant page on the website and/or the account unless the message that the payment of the examination fee has been successful (Payment Successful) is displayed on the page of the Commission's online application system and the receipt of the examination fee is generated.
(3) After paying the examination fee, the candidate will immediately know the status of the successful payment of the examination fee in his profile. It is the candidate's responsibility to ensure that the examination fee has been successfully paid and the transaction has been completed from the bank before logging out of the account.
(4) Application if for any reason it is not possible to successfully pay the examination fee online within the prescribed period
A copy of the challan can be taken for offline payment of examination fee up to two days after the last date.
By Offline Mode :- If opting for payment of examination fee through challan, payment of examination fee can be made before the prescribed last date at any branch of State Bank of India during bank office hours by taking available challan copy. However, care should be taken that it will take at least three hours to get the currency copy and deposit the fee in the bank.
In case of unsuccessful payment of examination fee, re-payment of fee or receipt of invoice must be done before the prescribed date as per the advertisement/notification presented. If the transaction fails for any reason, the complaint in this regard will not be entertained by the commission. Candidates who fail to pay the examination fee within the prescribed period will not be considered for the respective recruitment process. In this regard, it will be in the interest of the candidates to peruse the relevant provisions in the general instructions to the candidates on the website of the Commission.


Admission to Main Exam :-
1. Candidates who qualify for admission to the main examination as per the demarcation lines and limits fixed by the commission for admission to the main examination of the concerned cadre and also fulfill the requisite educational qualification and other conditions as per the provisions in the advertisement/notification will be deemed eligible for admission to the main examination.
2. Eligible candidates can apply through their profile for admission to the main examination through the Commission's online application system website after the notification is issued by the Commission's office. At that time, for admission to the main examination, it will be necessary to select the examination center in the manner prescribed by the commission and submit the examination fee within the prescribed period. Otherwise the candidate will not be considered eligible for admission to the main examination.
3. Candidates who qualify for admission to the main examination of the respective cadre/post shall submit separate application form and pay separate prescribed examination fee for each cadre/post examination.
4. If the requisite educational qualification is not present at the time of applying for the Joint Preliminary Examination and the educational qualification is obtained by the last date of submission of application/information required for the main examination, such candidate may mention the date of obtaining the educational qualification. No other claim can be modified.

Period for submission of application : March 2, 2023 on 14:00 to March 22, 2023 till 23:59
Last date for payment of prescribed examination fee through online mode : March 22, 2023 at 23:59
Date of taking copy of challan for payment of examination fee by challan in State Bank of India : March 24, 2023 at 23:59
Last date for payment of examination fee by currency :  March 28, 2023 during Bank office hours
